The third episode of Disney’s The Acolyte is an embarrassment to the entire franchise, though the same could be said for so much Star Wars these days outside of Andor and the first two seasons of The Mandalorian.
I want to ask Disney the same question: What have you done?
This entire episode is a bad joke. We learn that Mae and Osha lived with their mothers in a society of witches, all of whom are female. It appears they were conceived using the Force. Or something. Force-using witches are also apparently frowned upon in this galaxy. They call the Force, the Thread. I’m getting Dark Side vibes here, though I’m also getting the sense that this show will try to be all edgy and make the Jedi out to be the bad guys. Which we’ve seen play out about half a dozen times at this point.

Pretty sure no one on the set of rogue one and Andor haven't received any hate. And that cast was pretty diverse, but had great writing.

The best thing about this show is that it so totally destroys Star Wars that if Disney ever is taken over by normal people again and they put a responsible adult in charge of the Star Wars IP, it'll be much easier to officially de-canonize all of the Disney nonsense.

Why do the Jedi only challenge Osha when she tries to cheat the test? Mae makes it very clear that she's going to deliberately fail and coerces Osha into doing the same and yet, the Jedi are only interested in Osha's motivations for deliberately flunking?

Star Wars did provide its fans with a make-believe world to enjoy for a couple of hours, but everyone knew it was not real, including children. I've commented to one of John Trent's video and will repeat here what dawned on me.
They are modeling the black chick character after the looks of Hindu god Shiva, the Destroyer. In his classic iconography, he's represented with coiled hair pile up on top, and wearing the snake Vasuki wrapped around his neck. For the witches' sabbath, mother NSA is wearing her braids coiled and piled on top of the head, as well a wrapped around her neck to evoke the snake.
And that gigantic white tattoo on her forehead is a wink to the "urna" symbol that Indians paint on their forehead. Usually, it's a dot, known as the bindi, but less frequently they would draw a small spiral (of course, Disney girl boss has to show that she has the biggest one!). Coincidentally, "urna" in Sanskrit means "thread", as in "spider's thread", which alludes in a few Indian spiritual philosophies to energy interconnecting us all and how to master it. Do you believe in coincidences?
Hindus tend to be VERY socially conservative and family-oriented. They will not appreciate a man-hating female alphabet character being made to look like one of their male gods. Also, there is nothing creepier than woke Westerners using Eastern symbolism like this.

I watched a short clip of the Acolyte. At first I thought it was a satirical comedy, like Southpark. Now I realize that it's just stupid. Also it's poorly acted and directed. High School plays are typically of higher quality.

Who has been hunting those witches that it meant they had to flee so far outside the Republic? The Jedi? If so, they should've been more aggressive to them when they entered their home and the Jedi should also have entered more forcefully when they saw them doing their banned rituals with children.
They will do a "Clue" ending. This happened, nope this happened, well maybe this happened, but this is what actually happened.
But in the case of *Clue,* the ending made sense. You're misdirected by the two fake endings until the real ending ties every plot thread together and you see just how vile Tim Curry's character really is and how much he manipulated everyone into doing his bidding. *The Acolyte* isn't going to be nearly as intelligent or logical, nor do I think it wants to be.
