They are cutting them down instead. Most of them have no sense of having green environment.
Very very few public parks in the state. None exist on the Ibeju Lekki axis

The building of freeways will kill Legos; they need to have train-oriented transportation if they ever dream of being a city of any substance in the future.

Thanks for this Red line update. Great presentation i must add.
I have a couple of questions.
1..Where is the starting route for the Red line? Marina or oyenbo?
2.. Are there any more lines planned besides the Blue and Red lines? If yes!!! Do you know which routes they planned for?
I look forward to your next video and hopefully you might have some answers. Thanks again. Great content.

There are more light rail metrolines coming up to cover the whole of Lagos and connect even to neighbouring states. The light rail project is colour-coded in different phases, comprising the Blue Line (Marina to Okokomaiko); which is already operational. The Red Line (Agbado to Marina); which will commence operations, hopefully by the end of 2023. The Purple Line (Redeemed to Ojo); Yellow Line (Otta to Iddo); Brown Line (Mile 12 to Marina); Orange Line (Redeemed to Marina) and Green Line (Marina to Lekki). All these lines are designed not only for human logistics, but also to facilitate economic development and integration of the southwest economic zone.

Why are they calling it a train station?
It's supposed to be a metro station not a train station.
A Metro is a train that runs within a City.
A metro can be suspended above land or underground.
Trains are supposed to run between cities and towns. Their stops can be called train stations.
Is this a suburban rail system then?
When building a rail system within a city, it should always be suspended as an overhead rail system or it will be a dumping ground and there will be illegal crossings, otherwise fence it.

But it’s time for Nigerians to take charge of constructions, we are not just innovative in that country. Chinese build in china , Indians build in India,Egyptians do the same . Come to Nigeria, all constructions are handled by foreigners yet we r complaining of unemployment.

    • @efemzyekun900

    • @benakor8575
      @benakor8575 Před 9 měsíci +1

95% of people who work on the construction site are Nigerians and they have gained some valuable experience building train or metro system,
Building a train system is different from building a house, no Nigerian company has ever built one before, CHINA has been building a train system for more than 100 years and they have improved it, but we still have a long way to go to acquire the technology. We need all the help we can now to ease the movement of people from one location to another.
