This is probably my favorite Frankenstein. It's short and fun.

This is a very enjoyable film in the franchise. Not the best, but defiantly a fun watch, though I guess all of these films are technically fun to watch. It’s a shame Lon Chaney, Jr. didn’t get a lot to do as the Monster. He was a great actor and they should have utilized him more than they did. He’s great for what he has to do, but he defiantly was underused in the part.
Absolutely, especially when compared to how much Karloff got to do in the previous 3. Just a "showcase scene" or two that Lon could have really sunk his acting chops into would have been nice. All the scenes with the Monster and the little girl were so sweet though, I love how it's always the little kids that are never afraid of the monster - because they know he's literally just a big kid, one of them! :)
My favorites are wolfman versus frankenstein and house of frankenstein.

I really missed Boris Karloff in this movie as the monster.
Great review, I have this movie as part of the original "Legacy" DVD Collection. I some long time ago rewatched the movie on an episode of "Svengoolie". I though the movie was good, but it is littered problems. The biggest one being Lon Chaney Jr. as the Monster, as he barely emotes or does anything new with the monster, at least until the final minutes. I'm gonna need to rewatch this movie sometime.
If Igor can survive being hung then I guess it makes scenes he survives being hot

C'mon..the best are the first two movies. The third is a "good movie" and the rest is only commercial stuff.
C'mon..."commercial stuff" can be plenty entertaining too. Of course the first three are the best. Doesn't mean the rest are worthless.

@@zaranyzerak Ok...I watched all the other ones and really enjoyed them....just seemed odd that I couldn't find this one...one in the middle of the series. Because of the Bela dialog editing, I would think you have a lot to say about this one.
