@MikeP good idea. I used mine to change wheels on a 400 lbs. sliding gate. Worked like a charm.
I use mine on a near-daily basis to scratch my back. 10/10 would recommend.

That's great in all . But for more I will always find the weak pint to tools that extend or pivot . My dad always said as a kid more parts equal more things that can / will go wrong or break .
The last several days I've been working on my combine and a local mechanic has been helping. He has the Matco brand one. These tools are so handy!!! I'm going to pick up the 82220. Thanks for this review
Oh man, the valve cover seal removal. Holy cow, super easy, barely an inconvenience.
The older I get the more I rely on pry bars and extensions-and my son! Been a member of the F.O.B.K.(Fraternal Order of Busted Knuckles) since 1974.
in the end, everything comes down to pry bars and hammers!

I bought the same kit when I changed to my new job and has been a life-saver in many instances.
I love the indexing pry bars. Another great gear wrench tool is the 1/4 hex ratchets. They make flex head versions and they fit everywhere. I cut down a set of nut drivers to make low profile sockets for them, and you'd be amazed at the places you can stick it. The head is smaller than any 1/4 ratchet, and with the cut down mut drivers it's 1/2 the depth.

Needed on of these once. So, I bought a Harbor Freight. No regrets but, if I had an ongoing recurring need, I would get these.

Harborfreight has a slightly small head, but gearwrench and sata r exactly the same but sata is cheaper , by the way i have both extendables
Comes in handy to disable cat converter thieves.
With good timing, and a well placed hook-shot, not only would you motivate your purp to take an immediate nap milliseconds after smashing his cranium into the undercarriage, but he wouldn’t have to worry about making babies ever again!! 🤣😂

I like the slots on the heads of the bigger pry bars. I bet they grab into what you're prying against to keep from slipping.

indexing pry bars are the best! definitely the first pry bar i grab for just about any job. they sell different styles too. the ones i work with you can pound with a hammer. very versatile
I got the set love them especially the little on 7.3 injectors make life easy
I remember watching your videos while I was in high school, I subscribed just to learn, and admittedly I haven't been watching very often over the past decade, but occasionally I'll watch a video. You've certainly gone a little grey in the beard!
It'd be kinda hilarious to put one of those in your golf bag. You could probably use the big one as a decent golf club, too.

We have the 33in gear wrench prybar at my work. We use the mainly to straighten up pallets on our conveyors. They are awesome.

The indexing head is nice but I suspect that part will be the first thing to break when you really need to pry with some force.
There's a video here on CZcams where they do a strength test with these things and they're stronger then you would think they hand 2000 pounds and up and force which is insane!
I got three of these bars, the ones with the red on them. I want the two larger ones eventually!
I have the 30" and found the only sorta weak spot is the lock for the telescoping action, loaned it to one of the bigger dudes in the shop and came back unhappy, still works though

Cool tool. I like Gearwrench tools. You look like the grim reaper with that big one. Perfect for zombies. I sort of wish they had pointy ends on the opposite end like your original one did.

I've had these exact tools for a few years, not sure if they're gear wrench but they are great. The telescoping ones flex quite far when fully extended, but I have yet to bend one.

Awesome addition for the toolbox, but unfortunately they are quite fragile over the static heelbar/ladyslipper.
Though in heavy equipment you do break quite a few pry-bars and sledgehammers.

Its a nice tool BUT I do not like the slack in the Indexing Hinge Joint! If they made it more firm and secured, I would buy the set.
I use similar tools for pulling nails while roofing in the U.K. I find the gear adjuster in the heads fail really easily when a good amount of torque is applied
Snap On do a set for like 80- 100 quid each. If you use it all day everyday it's worth the money like all their tools. Obviously if you don't, theyre not

Umm I probably should say this publicly however I had the unfortunate circumstance of having to spend a week in the county jail, and on these new tablets they were handing out, they had like 30+ of your videos set up as a course on there. Needless to say I learned quite a bit about brakes and HVAC systems and “what’s the noise” videos. All very entertaining and informative! I’m most definitely a fan. Not sure when the videos in the course were from, I’m thinking at least 10 years ago. There was no mention of CZcams and your production quality has gone up significantly! (Remember an early video where you wrote “FOCUS!! Sorry!!” On the screen? Hahaha dude, this is great stuff, and I appreciate your work!

Funny, just bought one too, along with a heel pry bar set (aka Ladyslipper or Ladysmith). Need to pry some tapered bearing races from a trans in a week. We'll see which works better!
i have a indexing prybar, and im pretty sure its the same brand even but mine is different. the handel end on mine is not pointed, its blunt to hit with a hammer. and the indexing head also has 2 flat spots to hit with a hammer.
These are one of those things you wish you had invented. These are awesome pry bars as a millwright we use these all the time in the steel mill.
They take the abuse well .
Overall gear wrench tools are pretty descent.

How much leverage will the indexing feature withstand before it gives out, like an old worn ratchet?
Bought one 15 years ago, one of my best buys. Tougher than you would imagine
This is my concern. I would not like a sharp spike accelerating towards my face when/if it slips or breaks

The to 33inch and 48inch are far stronger then the other 3 I have never broke the 2 longer one's. And they have a lift time warranty.
They need a pointy end on the handle for aligning bolt holes...

I'll be honest I've seen these adjustable ones before and I never had any faith in them. Then again I've never used a pry ar in this kind of shape.

I usually fall back into the, "Get me a bigger hammer" kind of camp.
The big one (29 & 1/2") looks as though it could also hang on a belt loop (D cell) Mag-Lite holder & be used as a permanent intruder deterrent.
They have many uses including chasing the homeless tweakers away from the storage units next to the Napa I worked at
How strong are the weakest points is the question
Man after watching your review I went and bought the 16" gearwrench indexing pry bar first impressions were good but first use something in the indexing system sheared and now it won't lock in just floppy. And no I didn't have a pipe or anything on it it was literally just my arm strength and I'm only 170 pounds so i can't be that strong. Idk maybe I got the one bad one in the group but after smashing the fuck out of my hand I wouldn't dare use one of those big ones my luck it would do the same thing but probably be worse if I'm putting my weight into it and she gives out like the 16 did

@@ionstorm66 Interesting as when I watched it on my phone, it didn't have the note in the upper lefthand corner. When I watched it on my PC it does. So I went back to my phone and watched it, it then had it, but when I rewound it to start it over, it wasn't there. I'm guessing it's added by CZcams at the beginning. I've been having a lot of wonky stuff/issues with CZcams and Facebook lately.
