And I thought I am the only one who also uses AN-4B as a wrist strap. The lower rectangular plastic loop of the strap near the triangular metal ring on camera can accept 3 layers of the strap so I don't use tape for the loose end. I just push through the loop. Of course it depends on what length strap you prefer.
I rarely use any camera strap as they are an inconvenience for me in my camera use. A strap flapping around is annoying.when not hanging on my neck. I have a collection of these straps stuffed in my storage bag. I do use them when on vacation for convenience.

Have you tried a neoprene neck strap? It’s stretchy and very comfortable.
Yes, I have tried them. The problem is they are so wide. And I know they need to be but they don't work for me.
