After graduation, he returned to Fort Campbell, KY to serve on ODA 551 in 2nd Battalion, 5 th Special Forces Group (A). In 1998, CSM Boettcher volunteered for selection and subsequent assignment with a Special Mission Unit. He served as part of the National Mission Force for 12 years as an Assaulter, Sniper, Team Sergeant, and Troop Sergeant Major. CSM Boettcher has numerous deployments throughout the Middle East, Africa, and the Balkans, including 11 combat deployments. CSM(R) Boettcher’s military awards and decorations include: The Silver Star, Legion of Merit, 6 Bronze Star Medals, and other awards commensurate with his rank and time in service. @2:35:30 .. the Mohawk program was written a lot about in Naylors book Relentless Strike. It was basically a JSOC trained Iraqi reconnaissance and surveillance unit. They did alot of the close target recce’s for JSOC task forces in 2005-09. Like if a HVT was said to be in a certain part of a Sunni neighborhood, the Mohawks would go in dressed in regular local clothing and identify the exact house the HVT was living in. Then they would mark it on GPS where then it would be up to JSOC targeting officers to either spin up a assault force for a nighttime hit, or bring in UAV ISR assets to continue monitoring the HVT and try to develop his network of other bad guys.

There is no vetting process or selection process for Special Forces Group Support personnel; they randomly come down on Orders then just show up to the SF Groups…SMU Support personnel have to meet specific requirements just to apply…They then get selected from an extensive application screening, attend an Enabler Assessment & Selection course, extensive psychological screening and there’s a final board for Support select or non-select…The physical aspect for Support personnel in the SMU is not like what the Direct Action elements go through but there is an emphasis on maturity, mentality, critical thinking, experience and how effective you are in your profession…

If I could put a hilarious gypsy curse on Jack and Dave, it would be that they had to do a parallel podcast where for every high-speed operator they interview on the Team House, they have to interview the most low-speed, deployment-dodging, oxygen-thief shitbag with a DD-214 that they can find. I mean guys whose most difficult military operation was hitting six restaurants for free meals on Veterans' Day. It would be amazing to just watch them die inside while they tried to pretend it was interesting.

@1:48:35 .. Man I wish Jesse could of talked more about this. OST was the precursor to the highly classified “G Squadron.” This is the area of the Unit that goes into (un-permissive) countries in clandestine fashion, under cover. The kind of missions where there is no QRF or Close Air Support coming to help you if compromised. According to Unit operator Chris VanSant, you have to be invited and try out for this area of the Unit,, and these are already the more highly experienced and senior Unit operators from the other squadrons. Only the 1% in a organization filled with the 1% make into this area of Delta Force.

i checked out when the guest started to put out “alternative facts” and unsupported opinions about COVID vaccination. i’m sure he has many great qualities but i’ll take a hard pass. COVID vaccination is well proven to lower transmission rates and reduce the severity of symptoms.
it still surprises me when otherwise mature people have zero regard for people who wound up with severe symptoms such as long COVID. i personally know someone who took their own life as a result. they may well have been spared if there was more buy-in for precautions and vaccination.

@@willrutledge1477 I agree about the guest. I'm not the guest man. I'm not sure where you get your information from. It's not even a "vaccine". They should call it a prophylactic treatment to mitigate symptoms (what was claimed)... but it doesn't even do that. There are studies out of Scotland and NZ (places that have near 100% vacation rates) that show no difference in mortality rates, ICU admissions or cases per capita. Another study done by big pharma claims that the vaccine lowers transmission rates, but for only 75 days. This is also refuted (not like it's a good thing) by multiple studies showing it doesn't even lower transmission rates. That combined with a 40% increase in all cause deaths in 2022 for people in the age range from 18 to 45 and 1 in 800 having major side effects requiring admittance to the hospital post jab (C19 has a much lower rate of being hospitalized), I just dont think the ROI is worth it. Yup. Definitely some good dudes, but overall was a let-down, especially coming from LRSC. I would have stayed in LRS for years, with a stint to Hoenfels ISTC (used to be ILRRPS). Army deactivated LRSUs left and right for some retarded reason, as if reconnaissance was no longer needed.
A lot of dudes who went to Group from LRS were let down, then put in flight packets or went to The Unit.

Did he really spend 15mins about the vaccine then say he wasn't going political when it came to Iraq,

Seriously, no disrespect to him but not sure how his logic makes any sense. It’s a soldiers job to not question orders when it comes to invading a country but it all of a sudden is when it comes to taking a vaccine?

I hate being that guy, but you're really gonna go from criticizing a mandatory vaccine to talking about how whether WMDs exist is irrelevant, cause you're gonna follow orders regardless... Man, i don't even disagree with your stance on either of those things, but like, the contrast is pretty friggin hilarious.

They’re not just “talking” about rescinding the vaccine mandate, they already did it, Jack. And don’t try to downplay what the military did. I had 2 guys at my squadron get booted out for it.
