- A group of 20 tagged killer whales traveling at fairly rapid speed is followed as they head straight toward the summer nursery grounds of a pod of narwhal and their young. The science team and film crew are stunned as they arrive to see the killer whales lunging at the beach, pinning the entire pod of narwhal in shallow water before devouring them all.

Feezie F-Baby lol humans are weak we’re at the mercy of storms, volcanoes, and a lot more natural disasters. We’re not as strong and above the food chain as you think. Anyways, killer whales have only been known to attack people in CAPTIVITY, which means we took them out of their natural habitat for our own fun. People are also killing marine animals with the abundant pollution we carelessly dump into their pool. If anything we’re the ones making the first threat
@@imaginemyshocko1455 what are you talking about? Humans can adapt much better to natural disasters than most other life forms. As for the person that said Orcas won't kill humans, that is simply because they hardly run into us. If a pod of killer whales was in the hunt and just so happened to run into some humans swimming in open water, then dinner is served! Orcas are very indiscriminate eaters, they are probably the deadliest predators in the water, who aren't afraid to eat anything, including other whales and most likely us humans if we were one of the only options during dinner time.

As it turns out, that horn is a tooth and, as far as I know, it's used for fighting other males for mates. (Please, someone, correct me if I'm wrong.) That'd be an amazing battle, though-- killer whale versus narwhal. Yikes.

R M. No...killer whales when attacking dolphins..they only eat the "one" dolphin..and they actualy only eat dolphins when they are REALLY hungry... same w whales... They usualy go for baby calves if they can...but if they have to..they will hunt full blown whales 5times their size...what sucks is that they have no way of like "saving" parts of the whale for the next day for instance.. So 80% of the whale carcass ends up beeing wasted away...it"s pretty sad.. Trust me.. If animals were beached due to orcas..there wouldn"t be much of an animal left... Dolphins and whales that beach themselves are usualy sick..injured...etc ec

@@stephaniedaigle5930 Actually that isn't technically true. As each type of orca specializes on a specific kind of prey. In other words, the pods which hunt mammals do exclusively so. Likewise the ones which prey on fish, only eat fish, etc. Hence, not all orcas attack mammals only few kinds do.

Everyone in the comments asking why the narwhals aren't using their "horn". Its a tooth and is quite sensitive actually, having nerves I believe on the outside unlike our teeth that have them in. The tooth is used to "taste" the water around them for temp changes etc. Males also use it to technically duel to win a mate as well. I'm pretty sure the tooth is flexible as well, i think one foot every direction, not making it sturdy. The narwhals can't just stab the orcas like its nothing atm, therefore making it hard to defend itself. Yet adaptation occurs and over time if pods of orcas keep attacking narwhals frequently then in the course of 100-3000 years narwhals will adapt, or natural selection really, to be able to use their tooth as a weapon to fight off the orcas. The tooth hardly sensitive, sturdy, and able to puncture something like an orca. So there you go sorry its long XD

Narwhals also use their horn (tooth) to gently poke their fish (meal) and quickly bring their mouths in almost like a suction to eat the fish. It's so cool!

I myself wonder why your not protesting against the Eskimo Community of Greenland, Northern Canada, and Northern Alaska, overhunting 1,000 narwhals each year. Eskimos are killing, and eating narwhals, about 1,000 of them each year, decimating their numbers in the arctic waters of Greenland, Northern Canada, and Northern Alaska, so why are you not protesting against that?
