    Perhaps the best tent set up demo and review I've seen on CZcams. Only improvement I would have liked to see was a tour around the tent BEFORE putting on the rainfly. Thanks for such an excellent presentation Just subscribed as a "Thank You"

      @sierraseb3311 Thanks for the feedback. When I bought this tent I was very frustrated by the lack of content on how to use it. Everything was geared towards selling it, not using it. Hope you enjoy the channel. Any requests?

    This is my 5th video showing step by step set up. I have had this tent 2 years and after watching your video I now know how to set up properly especially connecting the foot print. Thank you

      You know I thought the same thing so it seemed obvious what was important and missing. Thanks for the support!

    Thanks for the brushup. This tent has its idiosyncrasies, but it is lite and fairly simple once you sort things.

    Very good review. I was looking for someone who shows the packacking itself!

    Great tent! Very popular right now because of weight and durability. Nice review. New follower here. Crow✌️

      Thanks for the follow! Still using this tent in 2023 and no plans to replace it for my solo trips. It is a great tent!

    Thanks for the review. At 6’4” I’m guessing the hornet is still not long enough.

    This helps out been looking for my first back camping tent ⛺ . Question I have is it a three-season tent

    • @PapaSteveOnTheMove
      @PapaSteveOnTheMove  Před 2 lety +1

      I would suggest it would not hold up in the snow however with good sleep system would have no trouble in three season. I used in September no problem except wind - which would have troubled any tent.

      Only downside is setting up in the rain. You have to be fast. Used the tent now for 3 years. Showing some signs of minor tears in some corners , not enough to warrant replacement.

    Have you considered a portable electric bear fence? Lightest out there is 2.4 lbs. In the Rockies it makes for a good night’s sleep.

      Hi, I’ve never seen one of these bear fences before but will investigate. I’ve had good luck with bears so far

    Hi! Could you actually show how you pack the tent, with the footprint and using the smaller bag (poles separated). I spent the whole afternoon trying to make everything fit in :S

    • @PapaSteveOnTheMove
      @PapaSteveOnTheMove  Před 2 lety

      I tuck the stuff sack inside itself and roll the tent and groundsheet together into a small enough section to fit the sack. I fold the fly up last and wrap it around the tent. The butterfly clip is the toughest part to roll or fold but can be worked with.

    Great review! Thank you:) i’m setting up this 10/ first time at home and wondering how the clips on the fly work when you are trying to keep the vestibule open? The other components tend to just clip- easy - but the fly clips I’m not having as easy time with?

      I made this video because I couldn’t find a decent review on CZcams that showed how the clips work! Thanks for the subscribe.

    Can you fit two 25-inch tapered pads in that?

    • @PapaSteveOnTheMove
      @PapaSteveOnTheMove  Před rokem +1

      Ha! It will fit with maybe a little overlap but be prepared to both spend some time against the tent wall! It truly works best for a roomy solo.

    This tent sucks all around one person tent almost if u r less than 4' tall total waste of money wish i could have tested for the AT thinking i might pack extra for my dog would b a perfect one dog maybe two small dog tent if both r smaller and dont require much space could get a very small bowl of dog feed n each vestibule
