They didn't feel the pressure. Playing great football, clean sheets, 5/6 nils etc it means nothing, you have to make it count. The game City won could have been a big slice of luck with a penelty awarded which wasn't, while Arsenal could have had 1 game with luck against them where a winner got chalked off which should have stood.
The fact Arsenal have all stats in their favour and the head to heads with 1 games difference makes it feel they are the best.
Tournament football is completely different. The league doesnât lie over the course of a season. Also, the season isnât over. It would not surprise me if that goal difference is very different at the end of true season and it wouldnât surprise me if City win the league by more than 2 points.

I haven't seen another premier league season where the team in second place scores the most goals, conceeds the least, has double the clean sheets and performs better against them in head to heads. The fact that it's 1 game difference just means they could have had 1 game stroke of luck while the team in second didn't.
To have all those stats in your favour and only be 1 game difference isn't luck though.

I kinda get what he means. When he says best team, he means the team that has played the most attractive football, best defence and best attacking play. Some would argue they are. I'd sooner watch arsenal than Liverpool this season, and arguably better than city. The best team/most attractive team doesn't always win. Look at Man U... They are 6th: are they really the 6th best team in the league? We're they really the 3rd best team last year? They have been dreadful. Pep will admit that city haven't been at their best this season but are grinding out results when it matters. Arsenal have arguably been a better team to watch, but probably won't amass the moss points to equal that.
