Group W was a company of Westinghouse Broadcasting found on 20th May 1963. They began their popularity on the radio (their station KDKA was the world's first commercially licensed radio station). Group W did not have a standard animated logo until 1980. They became more popular in the 1980s. In 1995, Group W Productions was renamed and reincorporated as "Eyemark Entertainment" after the merger between CBS and Westinghouse.
My next logo history will be on TVNZ 1, then TVNZ 2 after that.
Group W font is called: "Anklepants"
He-Man, She-Ra, Ninja Turtles, Infatuation, That’s Amore, and Hour Magazine are all linked to this corporation.
Group W was once the parent company of CBS, as well as Filmation.
5th logo is (a little bit) terrifying at the beginning
4:11 & 4:41 are the ones I seen from watching TMNT cartoon the most. Haven't seen any other shows that featured this logo until watching this video.

I'm from Pittsburgh. The names Westinghouse and Heinz were REVERED in our home growing up. ('60s-'70s). If my mother could crawl out of her grave to read me "the riot act" when she found out that I have a GE fridge.. You can be SURE, She would! 😳
