Honda Monkey Tachometer Update & Koso Multimeter Gauge

This video shows the replacement of my original tachometer with a new GlowShift model that has a 10k max RPM and better visibility over the original one I installed. At the same time, I also install a Koso multimeter that has a clock, voltage and ambient air temperature.

I don't know squat about bikes or wiring but I'd like to add a tach, i ordered a service manual and a glowshift. What is recommended for wire to use? Does your print fit the glowshift white 7 series?
Looks good. I’m wondering if I can install a tachometer on my CT70 I am almost finished restoring. I installed a new motor and 12v system.
I was thinking the same thing, and may use the tach that I originally had installed on my Monkey on my CT70 build. You should be able to just tap off the coil for the signal.
Where do you connect the rpm wire to? between ignition coil and ECU? thanks!

On the temp sensor did you purchase the mount or make it yourself?

Where did you get the Koso setup with mount?
I got them both of eBay, but a lot of the small bore vendors sell them. It's the same as the one for the Grom which yields more search results.

I purchased a Koso mini 3 meter with the Koso clamp in red.
Mine does not look the same color as yours and doesn't match the bike very well (duller flat red color), did you paint your Koso clamp to match?

@@bigmick1062 No, I didn't repaint. Mine is a darkish red anodized color that matches the anodized front forks pretty closely. That's weird that yours would be a different color...

This is the z125, 125cc engine. It's the same one that comes on the Grom.

- The Koso mini 3 mount and gauge are from eBay; search for "koso mini 3 grom," and the mount and gauge should show up
Why you change black dial to white?
I needed a gauge that went to 10k, was the same diameter and that supported 1 cylinder and the glow shift met those requirements.
