- Today I went for a little exploring in a local kampung that is located behind my hotel in north Bandung. I saw there was a little red bridge that connected my side of the river to the other... so I went exploring. I met some of the nicest people in this small little kampung including the happiest old man I've ever met. The second we met he was grinning from ear to ear and couldn't stop laughing. These people welcomed me into their village and fed me, gave me coffee, and we tried our best to communicate with each other. Thank you so much for having me, it was a wonderful experience.
Thank you for watching, and I'll see you in the next video. Many more videos from Bandung are still to come.

Semangat nick, semoga kamu sering buat konten explore seluruh daerah/kampung masyarakat Indonesia.
Wajah asli para warga Indonesia yg blm ternodai gaya hidup hedonisme. Ramah, santun & kekeluargaan.
Setuju 👍 inilah karakter orang Indonesia 🙏
19:48 if they offer you any food or drinks (coffee / tea) in most small kampoeng or neighborhood like this, they usually gave it away for free. Saying thank you is (usually) more than enough for them . Its different story in some big cities area, where people used to see foreigners and view them as "customers", in small kampoeng they view foreigners as guests.

Agreed
Im agree
The fact that you just went into some random village and got nice hospitality is just... I think this is the most genuine thing I've ever seen
Not truly a village. It's like a slum near the city's river
@@DBT1007 gotcha. but we may just call it a village because the real villages in indonesia would be some remote place, far from main roads and hotels, bad receptions, etc. Nick would having a hard time visiting there
Now I understand why you're good with children. Didn't know you were a teacher. Great video brother 👍
yes, i miss teaching my kiddos
Pak Rahman, the hapiest man in Bandung
people who living in the village always makes heartwarming dude.. their smile is so sincere :)
terima kasih saudara2 indonesiaku, kalian telah menunjukkan keramahan orang indonesia sesungguhnya
Sebentar lagi masuk bulan Ramadhan Mr. Nick 🔥 Cobain vibes Ramadan di Indonesia 😍

Thanks addiat!
I think Mr. Nick have the new experience and the new "word's" that is WATER COFFEE 😄😄

Indonesian ppl are some of the nicest people, in Indonesia Bandung / Sundanese ppl are among the nicest ppl in Indonesia, means you've arguably met the nicest ppl in the world, congrats. Enjoy your stay in this beloved city!
These Sundanese phrases might be useful during your adventure in West Java,
Punten = Excuse me
Hatur nuhun = Thank you
Hapunten/Hampura (whichever is fine) = Sorry/I apologize
Wilujeng enjing/siang/sonten = Good morning/afternoon/evening
Sae/sae pisan = Good (quality)/Very good
noted! thank you!
Sundanese language kinda special like we got 7 or more words for fall
which is:
tikusruk
tisoledat
tiguling
tiguralit
uhh forget the others XD
anyway glad you found the nice side of Kampung in Bandung
key to happiness is being grateful to calm the heart
Terima kasih Nick. 🤗 Inilah Indonesia yang sebenarnya.
the hospitality was lovely! love to see the videos nick! hope you grow into something bigger. used to stay in Indonesia for 3 years before and now I'm residing in Singapore, if you ever come and visit do hit me up, would love to bring you around :)
That was awesome Nick and you are right about tgem being representative of true Indonesian people. They are very genuine and generous.
I can see you're a very genuine person. Hopefully you can transmit the hospitality of Indonesian to Americans. The first fast of Ramadan this year, I hope you are still in Bandung to feel the Ngabuburit vibes.
Such a heartwarming episode! Made me think of the Rainbow Village as well. Kindness invites kindness in action.

Dari semua daerah yang pernah saya singgahi, Bandung orang-orangnya paling ramah, paling lucu, pokoknya paling menyenangkan Bandung itu

Imagining you meet mr Ridwan Kamil, should be nice moment and content.
i've had a thought.... apartments and kampung are not very different... they're essentially small houses stacked next to each other... one of the few difference is you wouldn't get any experience like this in modern apartments...
i like the way when you interactive with local people, and teaching them. keep going dude
Hebat kamu Nick ....jarang bule mau blusukan ke gang2 sempit
super humble ! I live in America for 31 years now and people here keep asking me if people in Indo are humble and down to earth like me? and I always tell them most of Indonesian are friendly and caring. Nick is just such a great guy! watching this really makes me happy!

I laughter so hard, when that old men say "Water Coffee" 🤣 ,but that's true, because another people in indonesia, sometimes say a "kopi" with "Air Kopi" ,and in sundanese language, they always say "Cikopi", "Ci" it's mean a Water in sundanese language, and Kopi it's coffee,exactly... so that old man say the true 😂

Hi Nick,In a few days the month of Ramadhan will come, look at the atmosphere of Bandung when it's before sunset.... the moment waiting for Maghrib / Iftar is called Ngabuburit, look at the many culinary sellers there... you have to try it Nick...
yes, should be an interesting time to be in Indonesia 😅
Actually he can go to every big cities in Indonesia. Especially cities in Java.
He also still can get that atmosphere in Jakarta too.
But of course each cities and regions have their own thing. So yeah.. if he want to know Ramadan tradition in Bandung, he need to stay some days maybe in Bandung. And maybe after that try the other cities? Or whatever he likes..
But since this is ramadan and islam, maybe he need someday go to jakarta again? To experience the Masjid Istiqlal(the biggest masjid in southeast asia) experience? And other places in Jakarta.
This is no ordinary video.
Awesome , very touchy
Take care & stay healthy Nick
Yups Some are in Jakarta, Bali, Manado and Medan, also Papua and Eastern Island of Indo is common to serve Pork, but outside of that is not common
