Yup I spent less time prefishing since I couldn't do much of it due to work. It has helped me make adjustments on the fly while fishing the "moment". I think majority of my success this season came from less "dock" talks.
Easy to get brain fog from all the info coming at us
I can’t say that I consciously did that in 2022. But I’ll say this, I won our club AOY and once I decided on the area, I just went fishing. I didn’t prefish once. For national events, I planned, prefished, etc etc and had a horrible season. I’ve been thinking about that a lot this off season.
I think we subconsciously over analyze, like we never intend to do it. Same might be said for your aoy season, didn't intend to "under analyze" but it ended up being the best thing for you!
@@JeffMalott 100%. I know when national events come around, for some reason I make it harder than it has to be and get concerned about what everyone else will be doing and surely just running bank with a spinnerbait can’t win…gotta do something else. Mental hurdle for me.
