  • It's becoming more and more difficult to find affordable accommodation in the city of Kuala Lumpur. I walk through the city searching and eventually decided to stay here.

Malaysia and Thailand so far are getting visitors / tourists exceeding 10million so far. Rooms maybe tough to find.

Most homeless are foreigners from South asia and indonesia. Only a few are locals.

Near Central market and lrt pasar seni there are a lot of dorm style hostel bed as cheap as RM20 pernight. I stay there a lot before. The place name matahari lodge. There are many travellers as well.. But now they close forever but there are similar hostel available near by.. If u don't need room type places to stay. When I was living in Kuala Lumpur some years back, I was surprised at the homelessness there. There were a lot of Malay homeless in the street. It was all pretty much in one area downtown. No matter what time you drive through there it was scary and nasty.

It's not likely for all hotels to be full. It is more likely full for walk-in visitors but you can book on websites.

Malaysia is a third-world country where people come illegally by sea to work, contributing to our society's problems. The Malaysian government has worked with their country of origin to solve this problem together, but there has been no cooperation from the country because it would be very expensive to send them home.
