I had a good discussion on Reddit about her being an advanced type of character due to her HP draining mechanic, but I totally forgot about Tetra! And finally I can use the same team you showed, got Necoco a while ago!

I got 2 golden doors in one pull... 1st time that's ever happened to me. 2nd door was a dupe Veina, but still. \o/
I got a dupe Tea Maiden for my drop. Not mad about it, she's almost 80 light.
Was kind of shooting for Anabel or Tsukiha...they just don't wanna hang with me. 😆
Really glad banners hang around for a while these days... Now I can try for Flamme and this one a couple of times.

I didn't have a barrier piercing unit before (with the exception of Iphi's blood contract ability) and she has honestly been a really versatile unit for me. A team of Alter Tsukiha, RCF, Necoco/AS Necoco, and Minalca has pretty much taken down every super boss and simulation in the game (with Alter Shion subbing Necoco whenever the enemy resists fire).
I was going to summon Minalca just because I like her design. Nice to see she’s a monster unit too
I just got Iphi yesterday (she was only 2k thankfully) Time to collect more stones from new content and try my luck with chainsaw girl. The buddy system is so fun too 😍

Great review. Have health issues no worry tetra can heal, need status cure and healing at the same time tetra is here, the very first unit that can help frozen status effect without status immunity. She deals an absurd amount of damage what a nice package. I hope I get her in this banner 😂. My friend got her through single pulls I wish those luck were mine 🤣.

I got her recently during the Mazrika banner (game saw that her name started with "M" and ended with "ca" and thought "hey... good enough), so this sure comes in handy as I was wondering how to take full advantage of this nuke.
I don't have access to grasta (yet), but when I place her alongside Aisha, Sazanca and (Fire) Serge she pulls out numbers way higher than a player going through part 1.5 of the story should be seeing, so not complaining (it reminds me of Sesta when placed in a wind team or Benny... just being Benny) ^^

I basically got your whole team now, except for Iphi. but Man Eater swamp was really nice to me and gave me the carmilla item. So just need to get 5 chant scripts from all the side content I have to get her up there.
If you keep grinding those red keys, you'll get those chants in no time!
radica as side quest was interesting and funny (including guest character(s)) i won't spoil on as i got both her trained up for now with a interesting luck based ability included for anyone who gets that hope you enjoy (don't know if wil does in his list of as characters)

I don't have her AS either but I really enjoyed her normal style character quests.
2 areas I'd like to see explored at some point in the game, either through a Mythos, Episode, or Ensemble would be diving deeper into the elves and dwarves and the dragon lore. My hope is now that we have Eva, and Tiramisu being due for possible ES in the next year or two, we can get something like that with the dragons.
Also... I want an almighty beard grasta. 😆
settled another section of part 2 story for the campaign and probably until i get iphi and flamelappis or another main story proceed campaign starts i won't proceed to conclude part 2 (75 on) of the main story similar also for until i get minacal at minimum before i start part 3
Maybe I should visit the Starky boss from the chrono collab again. Barrier pierce will be quite nice.

You’re welcome! Since weapons and gear keep updating,I don’t make videos on the “best” weapons. However, I try to use the best available gear that I need in each superboss fight since I always show setups. A lot of times you have to adjust your gear so no one setup is perfect. Hope this helps.
Like to use them both and tetra is so op used her for a of the last bounty hunt bosses and yeah that was easy
She's so insanely broken, and probably one of the most fun units to play around with! Honestly, the 20% HP drain isn't that big of a problem since even when she's not at max HP, her dps is so high 🤩And Tetra is insanely useful as well, especially the heal and restore status she does every turn which gives more freedom to your party setup😅 Not to mention, her design is probably one of the coolest character designs in the game, especially the chainsaw! Btw, Violet (from the P5 collab) is the best Grasta holder for Minalca since she's has the Sword and Glutton personality:)

Nice review. I'm a returning player but I never went far into the mechanics. Kinda lost on who to work on, set up a good team. What to do daily. I'm starting to hit a wall on the story difficulty. Is there a place where to ask these questions, maybe post my units etc? Thanks!
Welcome back to AE! Try the questions thread on the AE subreddit or in the AE Discord, both are quite helpful! Otherwise my Back to Basics video playlist has some resources on team building, grasta setup and more. Hope this helps.
I used her to beat ikaruge storm king (new super boss) :D
After a total of 12500 Stones I finally got her. Last I mentioned I had used 10500 with no luck. Glad it only took me 2000 stones more!

Owo! How did you grind tetra so rapidly? Is there a way for fast sidekick level up or is it just "frogs"?

Hi Wil, I'm curious about SDE. I got Minalca and am looking for a team to build her with. I have Aisha, Noble Blossom, Necoco, Necoco AS. Maybe a few others I've seen in this video. However I don't have Dewey (RCF), Orleya, are two I see you using often.
Who would you recommend I pull on this most recent SDE?
I'm also still fairly new to the game. So no grasta or anything like that yet.

Thanks! You can’t gain her shadow points (like all other Gacha units). You can only grind out main story and free collab units.

Hi, Wil! I'm at a loss. In your personal opinion, should I get Minalca or Iphi?
On one hand, Minalca & Tetra offers versatile play due to them being a duo + I lack DPS units and Minalca is bonkers.
Iphi has infinite revives and offers multiple debuffs and is a great painsetter. Any thoughts? Thanks!
I feel Iphi is a better unit to go for (just because she's the only shade setter AND has the infinite revive). However like you mentioned, Minalca with Tetra is bonkers as well.

Minalca's normal attack almost grind all the way for normal mobs below lv80😁
I use her on Master level in the new Main Story part 3 as well!
50 pulls in and ive gotten 3 5 stars, none of which is minalca. Hoping i can get her sooner

Is she good for a team that mostly consist of the alter units?
I use Cyan Suzette, Flammancer Dewey, Violet Toova, and Moonlight Hismena
She works best on pure fire teams and also slash teams. You can use her with the Alters but as you fight more difficult content you’ll probably build more focused mono elemental or zone teams. That being said, Alter Dewey can set fire zone and change his move to fire as well so works well. Alter Hismena and Cyan Scyther both are slash units for a slash team if you want

Trying to figure out how to get the other sidekicks ugh
For me she is the best DPS in the game and for 100% strongest first move farmer (6.4k Damnatio vs 3k Flam Neptune). Best grasta slave for her is Violet (sword, glutton). Will you already spoiler what im going to do with her to stupid tree :D
7 days and 5h to final whipser and then i go for her with all stones i have. Im struggling every day to not summon :)

I saw people using Damnatio instead of Rip and Tear for bursting damage but I don't get it. RaT damage multiplier seems to be higher than Damnatio's at least on wiki, so what gives?
After 50% HP, you don’t get the extra attack from RaT so theoretically Damnatio would be better DPS wise. I didn’t think about that!

You can use the original Tales Of team (Cress Yuri Velvet Milla) to beat it since most of their attacks are non-type. I did record my fight in my final chapter walkthrough as well (I brought a magic team and it didn’t work well but I made it). If you have crystal dps that will help a lot too. Good luck!

@@jasoncai6712 yes Eva can probably solo it if you have decent grasta. Otherwise non-type means non-elemental attacks

Yes though Alter Hismena came to us first, followed by Iphi

I just tried to get her and flame, 3000 stone between both banners. but didn't get anybody u.u
Don't give up if you really want those characters! Banners stay for over a month now, so that's enough time to do a few more 10 pulls with our login bonuses and any quest completion/achievement stones you can save up.

How do you initiate awaken zone for minalca?
She can’t unless you wait 8 turns, activate Reincarnation from Tetra, then use Destruction at that point.
I'm benching her until I sidegrade her to 4.5 after whispers ;w; as she is, all she does is slowly kill my team every time we fight an enemy in the dungeon without Tetra lol
Otoha AS + Underworld regen grastas for team members (except Minalca) + absorb grasta for Minalca and you have full hp for every battle start if you want to farm with Damnatio.

Congrats! Yes she always damages 20% but Tetra will heal it back so you don’t need a healer

Like you said, she is good to early game too, but your set up is not early game, i dont do half the damage and get deleted
With a 5* Minalca, having Tetra in the back should offset her self damage, and even if not at full potential her DPS should easily carry you. Of course as you progress you’ll have access to the advanced setups, but as the difficulty increases you’ll need the ability to debuff and shield, which she relies on other units to do for her.

If you’ve gotten Minalca at 5* (either pulled or sidegraded) check the Party menu, you can equip via the Sidekick tab). Tetra is exclusively from pulling Minalca unfortunately.

I think she is one of the most powerful characters in the game. Her with Aisha is ridiculous. But against Emperor Schnaud? Absolutely useless. Actually even worse.
Even after all this time, I still rank her in the top 5 especially with Tetra!
