I’ve had the pleasure of listening to all of these artists except Kenyon Dixon. Crazy how I didn’t know all of them were from SoCal before! In the late 00s and most of the 2010s, people were saying that R&B was dead. At the time, I agreed with them. But these artists, along with the likes of Joyce Wrice, Nia Sultana, Dylan Sinclair, Latanya Alberto, Kadeem Tyrell, Reuben James, Brandon Banks, Devin Morrison, Mereba, Masego, Otis Kane, Christian Kuria, Raquel Rodriguez, Mac Ayres, Ravyn Lanae, etc etc etc, that have truly revived my hopes and love for the genre and its subgenres for the past few years. So excited to witness these talented singers. 💌
