I came up on Millz about a year ago or so. But I like what he doing. The tracks he has dropped lately been 🔥. So I support another independent no doubt…. 💯
That bmjr conversation was the illest conversation I ever heard. That really was the one. Song and album. That was my shit for all of 11th and 12th grade. I would drive around, with that song on repeat, picturing skating clips to it. Lol. Cause I skate. The flow, the beat, the voice inflections. I never heard anyone rap like that until wayne did it on Carter 1. It was like he was teaching people how to get into another level of feeling the beat when you rap. Other people started to catch up by like 2008. And I don't wanna forget to mention that a lot of people allegedly give gilly the credit for teaching wayne to really flow like that. If gilly was gonna teach anyone first, it had to be wayne, cause you could tell he already had the potential for it.

Kev next time can you talk more about the economics of steaming from an artists prospective. You have guys like Russ, Millyz, currency, boldy who seem to love it. But then you have guys like dj paul (who has a huge huge catalogue ) who always says there is no money in music anymore other than shows

Ya. There were a few that were about to blow around the sane time as him. Millyz, and pretty much a bunch of cape verdean rappers from brockton, dorchester, and new bedford. Dtheflyest, amg vic, g fredo, 7981 kal. Fredo and kal went to prison, vic has been in and out. D just stopped making enough music, which pissed me off. He had a video with lil baby with like 30 million views and some of his own that are between half a mill and 3 mill. He's still young. But he didn't capitalize. It SEEMS like hes just in Brockton, doing brockton shit. But I'm not gonna assume. He puts out music now and then, and its all good, and the songs usually have updates on his life. Those are all millyz man's too. Millyz speaks very highly of so many people that make music in mass.
The current people that are big are y gizzle, 8 zip, and king bricks. Zip and bricks will basically never be cool with gizzle by default. But millyz is kinda like a middle man, who still promotes all of them through occassional features and shit. They are talented enough to do it on their own. But it's cool that millyz does that.

I been saying Tha Carter 1 is the best and most ppl say 2 or 3! Tha Carter one alotta ppl skip over but I’m telling you if you were off the porch when it came out it honestly hits different. Go back and listen to the album and REALLY LISTEN and catch all the lyrics
That's cause most people didn't catch on with Wayne until Carter 2. He had obviously been around for A WHILE, and was always dope, but the Carter series was when he really refined himself. The Carter 1 is also my favorite. I remember feeling like there had never been anything like it when it came out. When I heard go dj, I started making a point to listen to more wayne, so the first thing I git was the Carter 1. I liked the intro, outtro, and middle track with the same beat on that album too
The topic got changed before millyz got to really shed light on the current rappers in the trenches in boston, so I'll name some. Millyz is cool with all these people. A lot of people in the comments probably know them. A lot probably don't. But they're making a lot of noise in massachusetts. Trottie y gizzel, king bricks, 8 Zipp, 7981 kal, g fredo.
