I can’t believe she and her husband still choose to be entombed in that building

A new roof sounds great, but in the mean time can they at least sweep the floors and clean?

I agree there's no excuse for the floor not being sweeped and mopped

Not much point if the roof leaks, have to fix that first

@@markflint2629 the roof needs fixed yes but you can clean up the mess the old roof is making until the new roof goes on. Maybe you don't understand the concept to keeping something clean even if you have to do it more than once

I'm having second thoughts on above ground burials

Caveat emptor...let the buyer beware. Mausoleums are not quite as safe or reliable as might be thought. If an owner of a mausoleum goes bankrupt or just shuts down, that spells doom for the mausoleum. They fall into disrepair and begin to crumble. A similar thing can happen with a cemetery, but at least you are buried in the ground, not in some building that can fall down,

Obviously a lot of these mausoleums were not built and maintained very well or we would not be seeing this over and over!

A lot of cemeteries charge endowment costs for general upkeep and maintenance, didn't this cemetery do that? 🤔

The kind of money that people are charged for these spaces is obscene. There is absolutely no reason things ever should have gotten this bad. And I wouldn't trust the new management spokesman any further than I could throw him.

if you believe your 5k is going to keep everything going for eternity you are sadly mistaken and have no idea how the graveyard business works.

It more like $ 10.000 for a indoor mausoleum space

@@davidfranson5940 Even 5k would be too much to ask for something that will be mistreated and forgotten eventually, why bother. And 10K? Almost a selfish egotistical crime. But for those with the cash a last indulgence? Go right ahead, I say to them, keeping in mind that few will visit, fewer still as time goes on, and eventually the spot is forgotten. We don't live in the day of really significant and affordable monuments to the death that were once so beautifully done.

No respect for the dead. Just going to get worse. Look at those who of many treat the living. SMH

She can't reach out and touch her mother?? Even if the casket lifter was moved, she still couldn't touch her mother!! All she can do is touch the marble face plate. I'm sure that casket lifter is moved all over. Everytime they do an internment, they use it. I'm sure in a couple of days or a week it will be at the other end of the building. What a drama queen. She is where the term "Karen" comes from. Flipping out over nothing, and wanting everyones attention!!!

The equipment should be kept out of sight in a maintenance closet... The plans for a new roof sound great, but in the meantime they should at least sweep the floors and remove debris and clean...

If it's so bad why you wanna be buried there?
Sell your property and find yourself a proper final resting place.
She should be thankful we exhume bodies after decades because of shortage of space.
