So yeah, I did A previous video ( • How I Tracked Mid/Side... ) experimenting with tracking an M/S Drum Room set up using a patchbay to record the Phase Inverted track required to make M/S work... While making the video, I noticed I could not get the two tracks (which in theory should be identical) to completely null. They almost did.. but did not totally... Which made me wonder why? Is it something to do with the method of recording that track in real-time? Would it totally null if I did the track using the drag and drop/invert polarity IN THE DAW?
Yep. I found out answers.
