Daft Punk is one of, if not the, most famous electronica/rave groups of all time. Their set at Coachella is was the most anticipated and still celebrated of all time. A neat idea for a reaction series would be watching all the tracks off the album “Discovery” in order. They collaborated with anime director Leiji Matsumoto and made an anime called Interstella 5555, where each video in order adds a chapter to the story.

Cool fact about this song: the vocals are actually mapped to a guitar, so each note plays a certain word at a certain pitch, adding a musicality to the vocal (which is why it kind of starts to sound more like a guitar solo at the end, when he's bending the strings a bit etc)

    Playing with the beats?
    Yes.
The former French duo, was produced by Pedro Winter (Busy P). They were doing turntablism, but to a level of production, that went to cosmic themes, and digitally tweaked landscapes, with an emphasis on vocoder use, to really give it a robotic feel.
The genre, is called French Touch, but it came out of House, Techno, and Euro Disco/Synth.

Dude, has an analytical mind. We've all seen this, by now.
I think, Brad likes using what's called "closure".
It's like, when you have an "a", at the beginning of a five letter word, and an "e", at the end, and your mind fills in the rest. 🍎
Preparing himself, for the closure, he is happy to see his prediction was correct.
The rhythm helps set the framework, for discreet packages to fit into each of the equally spaced compartments. With increasing variety, in each, musically, but the same words, it is an extremists paradise of sound/word::divergence/ conformity.
Subconsciously, the irony makes it humourous.
"Never Over", are the words, that finally resolve the loop. Another juxtaposition.
The song, has been crafted, so meticulously. It's hard, not to smile.

You're kinda robbing yourself by not watching the animated music video for this. Cuz in all honesty, Daft Punk music isn't really something you need to know the lyrics to, and the videos they made for this entire album was directed by legendary anime artist Leiji Matsumoto. He narrated an entire story using each song off this album as individual chapters/episodes, and it's a visual spectacle to get lost in. Check out 'Face to Face' and maybe you'll like the animation (though that song is towards the end of the album and the story, so it might be confusing to watch).

The music videos for Daft Punk’s “One More Time”, “Aerodynamic”, “Digital Love”, and “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” are all animated and have a sort of 4 video story arc.
I highly recommend watching them in order.
I believe it was in the fall of 2001 this video along with its three companion videos debuted on Cartoon Network’s toonami. My best friend and I were already fans of Daft Punk, and although I had to work that night, (I worked at K-Mart at the time,) he taped the videos for us to watch.
We knew they were showing these four videos along side two or three videos by the Gorillaz, (off their first album,) and there was a video by a surprise third artist, Kenna, who became an instant favorite of mine.
Kenna’s video as a claymation style video for the song “Hellbent.” Kenna’s albums New Sacred Cow and Make Sure They See Your Face are two of my favorites. I highly, highly recommend checking out Kenna, and maybe specifically the songs, “Hellbent” “Baptized In Blacklight,” “Freetime,” and “Say Goodbye To Love.”

Daft Punk themselves put this together from sampling another, older track and then going crazy distorting it. A lot of people here are making suggestions for follow-ups and I'd put up Digital Love as the best of their older stuff.

Random Access Memories is their true masterpiece. “Get Lucky” was a great hit off the album but a reaction to songs like “Giorgio by Moroder” or “Touch” would be interesting. The progression of those songs is like no other.

Check out the song Daft Punk by Pentatonix which samples I believe 7 of their songs, and you will love it. They won a Grammy for it. It is mind blowing. If you havent seen it you have to do it soon. You will be amazed at how good it is. I guarantee it will be one of your favorite reactions. Do the video not the lyrics. the video is crazy good/.

This really makes me wanna see you guys do a stream where you just watch their entire Alive 2007 performance. But before you'd do that, to really appreciate it, you'd need to listen to the three albums that came before it: Homework, Discovery, and Human After All.
Because that live performance was them basically reconstructing bits and pieces of their own songs to make these mashups that blend so well together. It's well worth it. There's also their Alive 1997 full set. That one's mainly them mixing a few of their tracks off Homework and other songs but also creating new beats and sounds around it all. Has an old 90s kind of rawness to it

You've hit one of my all-time favs. The Punkers! If you go back to their early recordings, like Homework, you're in for some serious electronic music. Daft Punk is one of the most influential house music bands, which they combine with funk, disco, indie rock and pop. You need to do a lot more of their music.

Now you should watch the Daft Punk Medley by Pentatonix. Pentatonix is an acapella group so there are absolutely zero instruments and there are no vocal effects apart from what they can do physically themselves (no vocal editing, auto tune or anything like that).
Check out their actual video which is pretty cool too.
