For me I'd agree 2006 was when the last great era died, but I wouldn't say the reason was cause of Proof. Even Kanye's best work was behind him, but you still had a wave coming with J Cole, Kendrick and Drake, who I respect. But yeah, as far as "great," that came to an end between 2004-2006. And the only shining star who I personally enjoyed from this generation was Juice, and similar to Pac and Big, I feel like the world was robbed of something great. Can't understate what a gigantic loss that was for so many kids today.

This was actually the first song I heard from them, I didn’t even know about “Devil’s Night” until later on
D12's "Fight Music" is another good one to keep learning about D12's importance. Bizarre is the rauchiest lyricist in the group. Check out Bizarre's verse on Eminem's song, "Amityville" from the first Marshall Mathers LP record. Kon Artis (aka Mr. Porter) is still Eminem's hype man for his live performances. Proof was a huge part of why Eminem stayed motivated to rap. Best friends. The "Future" character in the 8 Mile movie is based off of Proof's real life mentor/friendship with Em. Em has never been the same after Proof's death.

I grew up with DeShaun (Proof) before he met Eminem. Due to my relationship with DeShaun, I met Eminem on a few occasions. Going to D's funeral was the hardest thing I've done in my life. He was such a fun dude with a big heart. He loved his wife and kids, and he would be proud of them. His mom was the nicest woman I ever met. The Holton family were good to me, I wish he didn't leave his crib that night. Rest in Power to DeShaun Holton.

You guys need to do the two D12 albums devil's night and D12 World both were really good and most of the songs were dope on those. A couple of the wrappers in the group were pretty good but they are mostly average rappers overall they just happen to be boys with them before he blew up, so anyway the only reason you need to check out the D12 albums is because some of Em's best verses ever are on those.
