FJ62 Build | 60 Series Land Cruiser | OCN Rigs (Jack Ross)

The coveted FJ62 recently topped Hagerty’s list of The 25 Hottest Collector Vehicles Going Into Spring 2020. The timeless look and dependability of these vehicles have made them quite the commodity across the country. Although there were quite a few of these produced and sold in America when they were new, a lot of them fell victim to Toyota’s achilles heel of rust problems. Despite that, there are still plenty available across the country in barns, fields, your local Craigslist, and auction sites like Bring A Trailer. My friend Jack found himself a pretty good example and bought a 1 way ticket from Colorado to Kansas to pick up his 1989 FJ62. The rig was completely stock when he bought it, and all things considered, had a minimal amount of rust for an ‘89 Toyota. That’s when all the fun started. A radiator leak 200 miles into the trip home, and a transmission a few months later, Jack found himself all-in on vintage Land Cruiser ownership. Since that first day of ownership, Jack has put a lot of work into the vehicle, tastefully modding it to be a more comfortable daily driver, and a capable weekend camping rig.
