I think people also relate the "racism" with the fact a lot of people hate sheva but fail to realize we dont hate the character (she's actually quite a tragic character) but her AI is the problem. RE6 took place is so many locations and no one was like THATS racist.

Josh and sheva are so fleshed out, you can even see a sibling like relationship between them seeing as sheva was trained by josh. What happened to Shevas parents is what happened to Natalia. Their parents were killed in a biohazard outbreak to cover up illegal genetic experiments. Horrible.

3:38-3:46 as a black guy that’s a really funny game idea….i mean would it be the most morally sound game to play no but I’m sure it’d be funny

    lol this shit again
So I remember the initial controversy very well. I argued about it at length on a forum I was on.
Now I’m mixed race myself. More white than black, but still.
I thought it was a ludicrous argument, only based on it being black zombies with a white protag. Oh the black people in the trailer act sinister before Chris is attacked (gee, I wonder why).
Anyway, I went to ask my mates flatmate about it because he was a Black African. I just showed him the trailer and asked what he thought about it. Then I asked if he could see anything wrong with it more specifically. He said no.
I explained that people were saying it’s racist online. I explained why.
He thought it was very silly. He said “but they’re controlled, right? They’re monsters.”
From the cinematic language of the trailer it was obvious to him as it was to me that this was just a zombie scenario in an African country.

Also if it wouldve been the opposite and africa wojldve beenn all white people wouldve said that it was representative enough. Its a double edged aword.
