Brilliant comparison, thank you. Been using logic drummer for years, which sounds great but always find the beats and fills really awkward, like it puts weird off beat kicks in places for no reason, and the fills never seem right, requiring a lot of tedious work to fix, it’s a pain editing the midi in piano roll. Been thinking about EZD3 for a while now, I like the editor much better, and the humanise feature, seems far less hassle to polish the beats. Thanks again 👍
Matches up quite well with Drummer, switched to Cubase recently and really missed the ease of drummer, this seems to fill that gap f9r me s9 I will be paying the 99 eur upgrade. Thanks for the comparison, right on point for me
Hey Joshua...Terrific video! I mean I really appreciate this. I suck at drumming, and frankly it's been holding me back recording my tunes. It's Frustrating. Now honestly, I didn't know Logic had a Virtual Drummer with the Bandmate capability. I do have a Mac Mini running Studio One, and could swing over to Logic Pro. However, EZdrummer 3 with Bandmate, looks like a blast, maybe this holiday season will bring a sale or two. Thanks again for the overview!
It's a tough decision for me to be honest. I like having the control in EzDrummer but Logics drummer is just so quick and easy to get ideas down. And Logic Pro X is $200 for the whole DAW. lol
@@joshuabutlermusic Giving it a little further thought; If you go the Logic Pro Route, that's it, you're limited to a Mac and Logic Pro as your DAW. Whereas, if you go with EZDrummer 3, it will run on multiple DAWs, and Mac or PC. Decision made!
I’m definitely getting this! Ever since I moved to Cubase I’ve really miss the logic drummer so this’ll be a great option! Does Ez bass work in the same way?
For me it's not that which is versus : it's only the sounds and creating a whole song with EZD3 would be so boring, wasted time but the sounds are awesome (real) which is not always there with Logic-GBand
For me Logic drummer is so great because it provides immediate drums that don't suck--Does EZDrummer do the same? The only thing keeping me whipped on Logic (and Mac as a result) is this. I want to jump ship.
The Logic drummers look identical to garageband, would have thought they would be far superior considering how much Logic costs compared to Garageband being free?🤷♂️
Searched this video title on google and it found this 6 hour old video....nice. Thanks for answering my question when I needed it most lol
Logic drummer is way less complicated, way faster and easier to work with IMO
Logic drummer sounds very mechanical never liked it ,dont use it.
This was awesome man. I felt like we learned this process together instead of you being an expert with EZdrummer 3
Awesome. I needed this just to get the EZ. Tnx
The huge amount of adjustments in EZdrummer is the pros and cons in the same time.
Walter
Logic drummer was very cool and still is.. great to see everyone has caught up. I use them all

I learned something watching you drag and drop an audio track to the desktop. Nice quick hack!
Glad it was helpful!

@@joshuabutlermusic Yes! That did cross my mind $200 vs $179. And for that $200, you get so much bang for the buck. Thanks again!

The drums for ez drummer sound so much better for the riff being played. Let's the vocalist have room to sing

Was this the “bandmate” function in EZDrummer? Is this functionality also included in Superior Drummer 3?
you can do all that with Logic Drummer. try looking deeper
Does ezdrummer work on M1 processors?
