I always considered the original speakers to be a bit of a con. Effectively turning the speaker upside down, does nothing to align the ears with higher frequencies, as should be the case, but it sure does give the illusion of a greater bass capability. So, I guess it's job done, or should that be "Con Done!"

There are other Mission spkrs that are also with inverted driver arrangement. More simple crossover means less cost to produce.
It reminded me of the fabulous Advent speakers back in the 1980s.
