Aspiring mua here and I'll be honest, I'm very intimidated by working with deep skin tones because I have zero experience and I live in a very... "White" area. I seriously love your videos but especially this one. This was so informative regarding proper tones to achieve the desired look of bronzing vs contour.
Thank you for openly admitting this, and showing concern & care to learn more, so that you can be the best MUA out there one day, and be able to work w/anyone. 😌💅🏼 Kudos sis.

She's absolutely right. Bronzer should definitely add definition to your face because foundation leaves it kinda 2D. It is one of the purposes of a bronzer along with warming up the skin. People attack her for everything. 🤷♀️

I really like the physicians formula butter bronzer but they don't go deep enough. I'm going to stop buying from brands that aren't inclusive, it's 2021 no excuse.

At this point I honestly don't understand why makeup brands don't just go from near pitch white -> near pitch black. People with those skin tones do exist!?! Light Peach -> slightly dark brown isn't good enough

YES 🙌🏻 as someone who is SUPER FAIR, my favorite game to play is swatching the "lightest" shades in brands and laughing my ass off in the store. Then you add the fact that all bronzers are orange or look like a bruise when they're cool toned... so difficult to find products that work for me. And even harder for women of color and those with unique skin tones for their skin hue (e.g. olive toned pale people and cool toned dark skinned people). So frustrating 🙄

LOVE that ABH emailed you for this review!! JHC’s bronzer launch is pathetic. To come out with inclusivity is great! They made the choice to do this.
I'm sorry but ABH is a huge brand while jhc is still a small new brand, but I get what ur saying
@@venilandshe3484 JHC is under Morphe, which is not small. Plus if you make six shades, you could at least make two light shades, two medium and two dark ones. Six is already a lot of shades for a a bronzer compared to a lot of brands (Chanel for exemple 🤦🏻♀️)

Thank you for speaking about the other hand of the spectrum! Of course, we do have more representation and I am in no way comparing it, but really fair people are regularly forgotten for complexion products, like everything is YELLOW and that is so freaking annoying, give me some cool tone!
Since when is everything yellow?! I feel like everything that’s pale enough is pink as fuck. My skin pulls kinda yellow kinda olive it can never decide but everyyyy foundation I have ever tried is too pink for me makes me look like I glued peppa pigs face onto mine.
@@lillemuller9596 oh really ? Cool undertones are really hard to come by in my country… I suppose it depends where you live, I’m from France and the first match I had was Fenty only a couple of years ago, before that was nonexistent

I do the exact same steps that you do. I love using cream/liquids, and I believe that it is much easier than people might think. Creams/liquids blend so much better, look much more seamless on the skin. I also reinforce the creams with powders, but end up using a lot less product than if I were to just use powder on its own. I’m so happy that brands are becoming more inclusive. I hope that when my daughter gets to be an age where she is wearing more makeup, she won’t have the added struggle of having to be creative with products that are not intended for bronzing and contouring as she is a WOC. Thank you Nyma for being that voice out there making brands step up and recognize there’s a demand and a definite need for these products for darker skin tones. Your hard work has definitely brought amazing changes to the cosmetic industry. It is much appreciated.

I don’t understand undertones at all (like my brain just refuses to understand red/yellow warm/cool) so when I’m watching I’m like how is this going to work ahhhh why did she use that color, and then magically it always works out in the end.

Thank you Deep Dark Chocolate Queen for demonstrating and explaining why a Deeper skin tone wants to have a bronzer shade that caters to them. I posted on your Fenty bronzer video saying that they should team up with you to come out with some good bronzer shades for all the beautiful Deep Chocolate skin tones. One of the biggest comments i got back from ppl was asking why a deep skin tone needs to have a bronzer. Well i will now refer them to this video to demonstrate why. When you talked about bronzer looking like blush the fenty bronzer in one of the deepest shades just popped up in my head lol I looked at it the first time and was just perplexed, how this could be used as bronzer, even though some people do pull more reddish, when they tan. I remember so many people talking good about it, even though they looked like they had a massive sunburn, while wearing it. Also, love how you comment the other side of the shade range as well. As a pale person, I appreciate it 💜
