Just landed on my desk I thought it'd be cool to unbox and learn about this brand new pedal tuner from D'Addario.

This does fix the unsual small calibration range of the boss TU-3 from 436Hz to 445Hz where I never understood the reason for having anything higher than 442Hz which some orchesters tune to but more in the bottom end would be nicer.. SO a calibration from 432Hz to 442Hz on other tuners would be more practical..You get the Verdi A at 432Hz and the former european standard at 435Hz which is not availbable on the Boss.. Vocally 440Hz is allready a bright pitch, 432Hz is voice neutral.. sets the notes around the passaggios at the right location..
With this tuner you can get the quarter step detune at ~427Hz.

Does this pedal supports 9V battery?

I just got lucky and got this off eBay for 15$. Hoping it's comparable with the accuracy of polytune. From what I read it's pretty accurate.

So what did you did you think? was it comparable with the accuracy of polytune?

Very pretty, big ass screen. but seems to have a bigger footprint than the TC Polytune mini or the korg pitchblack. My think is that a tuner can't take too much space in a pedalboard.

Sure, but unless you plan on placing this horizontally on your board, the extra space will most likely be completely irrelevant.

Looks and sounds dope. My only biggest questions is, does it stay on when I power off and on my pedalboard?

Hi mate! No, it'll turn off when you turn the power off. It only takes mains power.

You sure? The site says 9V battery.

    • @clarkscott8532

It will take a 9v or adapter. It only has on output that mutes when you step on it. Im not exactly sure what you're asking.

Hey! Yes, this is a chromatic tuner so it'll tune multiple instruments and lower strings.

@@sfear6 Yes, very much so. That screen is very clear and bright.
