I remember when Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair wrested Kairi Sane and Asuka at TLC. Sane suffered a concussion during the match, and Lynch was the only one who noticed it. Becky quietly rolled Sane under the ring to keep her out of harm's way and had Asuka continue the match to get the planned finish.

I don't think any of those guys want to see someone get seriously injured. It's all about the business and putting on a good show for the fans in the ring. Someone getting hurt really bad is bad for business.
Bret Hart always the professional. A guy he genuinely despises and still decides to save him from getting hurt. Personal and business are different things. Hart really showed his maturity over michaels in that era.
They didn't dislike each other at that time. Their dislike for each other started after that match & when Shawn lost his smile to avoid putting Bret over.

Yeah but it could have been SIGNIFICANTLY worse had he landed in more of a brainbuster position(completely vertical but without the neck being tucked so that you land on the shoulders) and got spiked into those thing mats. I think even Mustafa was thankful in that moment, although still getting a swelled and purple eye sucks
Ironically Bret Hart has been one of the three stiffest wrestlers to work with in that era, only third to the Undertaker and Bradshaw. Thats why he couldnt carry bad opponents to an honorable match, he was terrible at selling and just as bad on making impact moves impactful without causing harm.
Something about this touched me. I know it's just how they're trained - performing something safely is a two (or three or however many people) part job - but just knowing how close they were to something ugly happening and were being looked out for by their fellow athletes is inspiring.
