Regarding the shoe disinfecting tray, the Clorox could bleach out carpet or tile, put equal amounts of water and rubbing alcohol....same result.

paper towel cardboard centers work great to hold up boots too. A few drops of an essential oil keeps them smelling fresh.

I will continue to save masks for the people who really need them (i.e health care workers, coronavirus patients, sick people, the elderly etc.) There is currently a shortage on facemasks because people are hoarding them or selling them online for $50.

The valve on the mask is usually on N95 masks (particulate mask), as opposed to P95 (dust mask). The valve also helps move out your moist exhaled breath
, making it more comfortable. They are supposed to be one-time-use only.

I used to put my boots in trash bags in the back of the closet to keep them from getting dusty. I would definitely buy those things though.

Tip: Good old Ivory bar soap or dishwashing liquid gets those makeup remover towels cleaned in a snap. I have a few from Dollar Tree.

The bad thing about the masks is with everyone running out and grabbing them those of us working in the medical field are worried about shortages. Our masks for the hospital I work for went from $.50 a box to $1 a mask. If people at the hospitals don't have masks how is everyone gonna be taken care of? We all understand the fear of the unknown but our flu kills more each year then this has. Vivian. I adore your videos. Keep being you.

I worked at one of the major hospitals in Toronto during SARS that had patients in quarantine. The amount of misinformation being spread, especially through the US, is unbelievable. And yes, people need to stop with the masks.
Have to agree on this. Till now, most people get misinformation even from trusted and reliable sources. I don't know... it seems huge business companies and even the government want us to go crazy and buy unnecessary stuff as protection especially to non medical peeps out there.
@@raphaelsylla876 It's really only happening in the US. Other countries are far more on top of the situation, but there isn't nearly as much misinformation being spread, or panic buying happening. Sorry to say, but Trump has no idea what he's doing, and he's making the situation much worse there. He needs to stop deliberately ignoring what advisors are telling him because he thinks he knows it all.
I work in an emergency vet office & we’re at the bottom of the food chain for masks. Granted all we really need them for is surgery, but still. We actually have a girl making fabric ones for our docs just in case.

My dad passed away in 2004. We still have not cleaned/cleared out his garage. It has been too hard. Two weeks ago my niece and I were in there looking around and found a few packs of the Contractor's masks! Our first thought was to keep them for the current situation. If we had cleared it out when we should have, they most likely would have been gotten rid of... You are right. Something is better than nothing. However, the filter in these are meant to keep out paint fumes, dust, and sawdust, etc., surely it will keep out ...

I was giving myself a pedicure while watching this...never eating potatoes again LOL!!!
So I used to work in a department store shoe dept and a trick is to throw a bean bag or (we had small bags full of lead bebes) into the boot then use a filler (such as a pool noodle) and the weight at the bottom keeps them standing
I use rolled up old magazines for my boots.
