Solo is a 2017 bilingual experimental romantic thriller film written and directed by Bejoy Nambiar, starring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead roles. Shot simultaneously in Malayalam and Tamil, production began during November 2016. Solo is an anthology, telling the story of four different people, each story revolving around four different elements: Earth, Fire, Wind and Water, each with the different facets of Lord Shiva The film was in both Tamil and Malayalam worldwide.

ഈ രണ്ടു സിനിമകളിലും എക്കാലവും എവെർഗ്രീൻ ആയിട്ടുള്ള 2 കാര്യങ്ങലുണ്ട്.. ഹൊറർ and ത്രില്ലർ.. ഈ രണ്ടു ജേർണേറിൽ നല്ല രീതിയിൽ മൂവി പിടിച്ചാൽ ഏത് കാലത്തും hit ആവും.. സോളോയിൽ കുറെ ലയറുകൾ ഉള്ള സ്റ്റോറിസ് ആയിരുന്നു. സാധാരണക്കാർക്ക്പെട്ടന്ന് കത്തില്ല.. അവർ നോക്കുമ്പോൾ 4 രീതിയിൽ പറയുന്ന ട്രാജിക് സ്റ്റോറിസ് .അതിനപ്പുറമുള്ള internal ലയർസ് അവർക്ക് അറിയണ്ട.. അങ്ങനെയാണ് solo അർഹിക്കുന്ന വിജയം നേടാതിരുന്നത്..

Wonderful decoding and explanation as always. I just wanna add something to the story of Rudra's in this (spoiler alert!!). The title of the song Roshomon made me search what the word means and it is a Japanese word. Akira Kurosawa made a movie with the same title in 1950 and the main message of the movie is "what you see depends on where you stand", as in your truth is based on what perspective you look at it from. In Rudra's story, even though they realise they are half siblings he still has feelings for her because what he felt was right from his perspective no matter what the truth is. It is indeed a director and lyricist brilliance to have used the word as the theme song for that story.

Why lord Siva ? ഈ സിനിമ മൊത്തം കണ്ടവർക്ക് അറിയാം ഇതിൽ ഒന്നിൽ പോലും നായകനും നയകി ഒന്നിക്കുന്നില്ല. അവർ solo ആയ ശേഷം അവർക്ക് ഉള്ളിൽ ഉണ്ടാകുന്ന ശാന്തതയും വിരഹവും ക്രോധവും വേദനയും പ്രതികാരവും എല്ലാം അണ്. ഇനി ശിവൻ ആയി engane relate അവുന്ന് നോക്കാം ശിവൻ എന്ന വെച്ച പഞ്ച ഭൂതങ്ങളുടെ നാഥൻ. സതിയുടെ മരണ മുമ്പ് ശിവൻ്റെ തപസ്സ് - ശാന്തത,സതിയുടെ മരണ ശേഷം ഉള്ള dheshyam- അഗ്നി,സതിയുടെ മരണത്തിന് കാരണം ആയവരോട് ഉള്ള പ്രതികാരം - കൊടുകാൻ്റ്, പ്രതികാരം ശേഷം ഉള്ള ഭൂമി പോലെ സ്ട്രോംഗ് ആയിട്ടുള്ള ശിവൻ - ഭൂമി. വീണ്ടും തപസ്സ് ശാന്തത. തൻ്റെ അർഥങ്ങിനിയെ നഷ്ടം പെട്ട് ഒറ്റയാൻ അവുന്ന ശിവൻ്റെ 4 രൂപങ്ങൾ "സോളോ"
