Cateran Trail - Day 2 - Kirkmichael to Spittal of Glenshee

Day 2 of the Cateran Trail invites adventure-seekers to embark on an unforgettable journey through the picturesque Scottish Highlands. Beginning in the quaint village of Kirkmichael, the day starts with indulgence as hearty breakfast rolls, steaming coffee, and delectable cake fuel us for what lies ahead. With the village fading behind, the trail meanders toward Enochdhu, where a world of natural wonder awaits.
The ascent commences through a verdant woodland, creating a mystical atmosphere that's almost enchanting. Beyond the woodland, the Upper Lunch Hut beckons, offering respite and nourishment in the form of hot soup. Energised and invigorated, we continue our climb, reaching heights of up to 648 meters, revealing breathtaking panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape.
The rugged terrain, adorned with lush forests and heather moorlands, gives way to the awe-inspiring sight of Red Deer, a testament to Scotland's diverse wildlife. As the day progresses, the descent through the deer-covered slopes is a mesmerising spectacle.
Finally, the journey concludes at the Spittal of Glenshee, where we can reflect on the day's escapades. The Cateran Trail is renowned for its stunning views, rich wildlife, and a tapestry of landscapes, leaving indelible memories etched in the hearts of those who travel it, making it a must-experience for any nature enthusiast.

Great catch Lindsay. For some strange reason it was beginning the video at 3:15 and not 0:00 like it's meant too.
