Elmer's Island, Fourchon, & Grand Isle are too much of a roll of the dice for the crappy drive down there.
I agree too far and tollbridge is too pricy.
It's not a bad drive but shallow water too far out in my opinion
I go by boat or trailer it sometimes
The thing about all those places is that even though it’s shallow it is full of giant redfish trout and catfish croakers and flounder
I like it when you fish the surf because you never know what you will catch. I hope you're keeping well and it's nice to see you again.

Yeah we could definitely use some in Pennsylvania too. I live right near the PA/OH line and work in East Liverpool, OH and my grass is dead, so is the grass at my plant in OH.
We had storms for 10 days in a row down here and it's still not totally cleared up yet. I've been waiting to go do some shark fishing in Grand Isle for over two weeks now. The tides have sucked for it too. Low tide right around dark when I'd be getting out there.

Also the time of year when crabs and jumbo shrimp are abundant. Find some structure and cast the net. Reds are runnin too!
Not good days... We all have them! But, for me at least, there's never a Bad Day Fishing. 😽
