They refused to hear any case involving the 2020 election which led to Jan 6 which lead ultimately to here. It's time they end this dereliction of duty and fix what they've done.

The Supreme Court should always be as politically balanced as possible, never any more than 5 justices who are either democrat or Republican because like it or not, these Justices allow their political and ideological leanings impact on their rulings - shouldn't happen, but it does.

I'm also concerned about the wording of their announcement:
“Whether and if so to what extent does a former President enjoy presidential immunity from criminal prosecution for conduct alleged to involve official acts during his tenure in office." They are only going to address his immunity for "official acts"?!? It seems to me most of his criminal efforts to overturn the election fell well outside anything related to his official duties. If the court only answers the question they have laid out, then they have focused only on his actions that could possibly be covered by immunity, and ignored the rest of his criminal actions, or they have extended "official acts" to cover anything he did while president. Neither would be a good thing.
If the Supreme Court in the UK had engaged in such shenanigans as your Supreme Court, heads would roll. This is a disgraceful manipulation of procedure and a middle finger to your great Constitution.
Obviously, the three judges appointed by Trump should recuse themselves. But they are way too corrupt for that.

Weissman is not a critical thinker, and has a history of prosecutorial misconduct, so I'd be pretty wary of his opinions. It's not a win for Trump in the Colorado case. It's simply following the Constitution, particularly due process.

I don't understand why the trial cannot go forward, pending the Supreme Court's deliberation and ruling. The simple fact that he is running again should make it essential that things move forward. If it's ultimately decided that he is immune, (which I can't believe will be the case), the trial stops at that moment, or whatever judgement it has generated is voided.
