I was an independent consultant for Longaberger and have been a collector since 1996. These, as you said are samples from the pottery line that they carried before the company sent the pottery to China to be made. That was a sad experience in the life of Longaberger. Now the company is out of business. The market is so saturated though. But yes, you’re right, these are just small samples for the pottery line. I had these and my daughter used them for her Barbies as plates in 2005.

@@Audacity0708 Yes, it was once a vibrant and amazing experience. Being a consultant taught me so much about the craft and the whole family. Getting to have a luncheon at the home of Dave (the owner) was a once in a lifetime.
Now of course, he is deceased. The daughters took it over and it really was sad to see the pottery get moved to China for cheaper labor. It was an American company and it was such an amazing story. Maybe my grandchildren’s children will see the value again and it will be long enough that it will all come back around. What an era/story the Longaberger company was. Dresden trips, the factory, all of it. Such an amazing experience of craftsmanship.

03:53 Those starey blue eyes are effing CREEPY. Let it alone!
05:00 They woulda all had alcohol-tube thermometers in them to start with; obvs. some have got busted over the years. Those, of course, will sell for a lot less.
05:27 Contack! Lordy, I haven't seen a copy of that game in _yonks._ My gramma had a copy of it that lived in an upright drum-table thingy (I don't know what the piece's right name was).
    07:43 I mean, they've gotta be coasters.
08:38 Collector or not, my radar is saying they're something special and worth more than their asking price.
12:37 "I'm not sure about it:" Jocelyn-speak for "ain't no way I'm gonna go for this, but I don't want to come off as a negative Nancy." 😁

I find pricing my items competitively, Buy it Now and either accept offers or don’t, and list as often as I can. Too many scammers and non payers at auction. 15:30 The mark says, 松村造 "Matsumura Zo" (made by Matsumura). It is Showa period Kutani ware as far as I can tell. You should be OK but look for the older 19th C to Nippon 1920's era or earlier. I find it helps to ballpark the age by the wear on the foot and the type of porcelain used. Older is more pasty and later is more glassy (pasty is better) and then you can categorise the item in its approp. period, Edo, Meiji, Taisho, or Showa... you can look them up for your listing. Anything later than mid C will not be as valuable unless it is by a famous artist or very high quality. The "Imari" piece is actually (probably) Japonaiserie - English/European ware in Japanese styling. It is older and will be interesting to see what it sells for. Good luck. I am banned on facebook atm so cannot comment there LOL.... no idea what for :-)P

In case you don't know once you've written a comment and posted it there are three little dots up in the right hand corner. If you touch those one of these options is to EDIT it. I have used that so many times when I misspell or misspeak when writing a comment.

Why wouldn’t you pick up the Alladin lamp? Wasn’t too large to ship, wasn’t overpriced, didn’t see it very often and you’re the LAMP LADY! Lol
