awesome, I wish I saw this before I had to figure this stuff out by trial and error^^ Just a tip for anyone interested: If you can, put down the plaza walkways before you build anything in the vicinity or it's going to get really fiddly and frustrating.
Other tutorial videos showed a really difficult way making the plaza and said unfortunately it is the only way to do it so thanks for that AWESOME surprise!

The T JUNCTION is more noticeable when you are using 2 different path textures. It will dictate how they merge. With it off they look funky and the 2 different paths can combine really weird. With it checked on they dont merge all funky lol. Its a nice straight separation of different paths

Thank you for this, I had been getting very frustrated trying to figure out how to do the stairs. I had wanted to build a walkway over one of my very large enclosures where I had several different species, but couldn't figure it out for anything.
I'll probably not have the money for this game for a long time, but it makes me happy to watch you play. Should you find yourself totally bereft of ideas (doubtful!), were I able to play and as talented as you (!!) I'd use your wonderful tutorial to build a large spiral staircase around a waterfall to an observation point/restaurant on top. I'd probably be silly and name it "The Wonderfall Cafe" or something:) I can't wait to see what you get up to!

Thank you for this tutorial... This is really basic stuff that is essential to know but unfortunately the game itself does a very bad job introducing new players to these concepts. Thank God there are people like yourself doing the work for them :D

I just got this game I'm still working my way over the learning curve. How did you do the independently raised path thing like at around the 9 minute mark? I did it once by accident and now I can't figure out how to do it again.😅

How do you adjust the path after already laying it down? And how do you adjust the height of path (that is off ground) after already laying it down? Does Planet Zoo allow you to adjust "nodes" like in city skylines?
How do you make your own railings? I would like to put the log wall tops as the railing for my paths
You can build fences and railings out of any scenery/construction piece in the game! I usually use wood planks and posts but you can use almost any piece to build what you have envisioned in your head

@@nicolaking5600 I heard Franchise mode was having some issues yesterday. Are you still having issues?
@@BeyondDrewTV yes I am still having issues. I just play challenge mode for now because I can at least get some animals. but franchise I can't get any (other than exhibit animals)
@@BeyondDrewTV Things are better now. the franchise is working for me now. still limited to a few animals but its better than before :)
I can't help but notice there is a ton of jank in this game. So during path placement for example, the second mouse button only has one function. Delete paths on click right? So why is it that I have to go to an obscure button first to delete more than one path? Why can't I just hold M2 and drag to delete multiple paths? There's a lot more anti features like this which, personally, don't really sit well with me.

Ok but why the heck does the savannah map leave marks on the ground after you delete a path....its gonna look really ugly if u deleted allot of times

I believe if you hold down shift, you can raise and lower items vertically. I had no idea it worked for paths, that's exciting!
can you please make a tutorial on a ride able track that guests can get on in the park ? im having some difficulty with my game and your the first person ive seen anything about building paths or walkways on this game so far . :[ i just need a little help and ive google searched it as well and the instructions in the game tells you how but not how to complete it :l
