Dexter has the strength and speed, but he is young, cocky, and untested. Brutus has seen REAL action. Real terror, and hardship, and horrors. Dexter hasn't seen that. In the end, it is just like John Wayne said: "Young one has strength, the old one has experience.

Yeah Brutus' strengths are welll... strength and intelligence while Dexter's are speed and agility.
Its more a nod their breeds and difference in personalities.
Brutus is a German Shepherd who tend to be bigger/stronger than a Malinois (talking about pure ones and on average). He's also a MWD so he was heavily trained, hence his problem solving abilities, on top of having traveled to different part of the world.
Dexter is a younger, smaller working dog so yeah him beating Brutus in speed and agility makes complete sense.

But I think Dexter can beat Brutus in race while Brutus has Strength but not sure about them in combact
Dexter sure is agile than Brutus but Brutus being in MWD can have some great tricks too
Youth and exuberance is no match for old age and treachery
Also, it’s implied that Brutus wasn’t trying very hard during the competition. So he probably could’ve won if he tried a little harder.

Dexter is smart too, German Shepards are just a bit better on those regards. Malinos on the other hand are faster and more portable. They’re both military and police dogs.
All tho i bet Brutus would have won if he was the same age as Dexter.
If you watched Brutus’s back story he had a brother in war but he sadly died.

I think your dub cast is pretty good. Though given Brutus' military past, I was expecting him to give a Gunny vibe with his mannerisms, especially with yelling when annoyed.
