Oh my god I've been trying to find someone else saying this! This is exactly what taking too much acid feels like, when things melt together and the tree you were looking at turns out to actually be a stop sign.

They don't need to portray reality or animals 1:1, I think they work best as is, abstract, surrealism creations that portray absurdity.
