Boy, 14, killed in sword attack in Hainault, police confirm

- A 14-year-old boy has died after a man wielding a #sword attacked five people in north-east #London.
Two police officers and two members of the public are in hospital after the attack.
The two officers received “significant”, but not life-threatening, injuries and will undergo surgery.

😢I am so sorry for his family 😢14 yrs old , with his whole life ahead of him..taken away by trash!..When it comes to these sort of crimes i personally feel that capital punishment should be brought back!.

There's knife crime all around the world. I'm in Aus and here it's because there's no proper mental health facilities anymore and psycho men are allowed to roam the streets.

I lived in a house share with a dangerous guy… the police were called numerous times but no sign of on-call mental health professionals. We weren’t taken seriously. I raised all the alarms I could… nothing. He eventually moved out. I’m waiting for his face to appear on a news special. The system is a joke.

None of them are arMed in the UK. Only special forces.
@@sylphofthewildwoods5518 The metropolitan police do have an armed response division but there's not that many of them anymore. I believe almost every force in the UK has a firearms team as well, it's not just special forces who are armed. Normal response officers are not routinely armed with firearms.
