It was my first time seeing a Sephora store and I was more excited for expensive perfume samples😂 Maybe I tried out a couple of lipstick samples and got purple lipstick as a birthday gift.

SAME. If my kid ever treated a service worker like that they'd be banned from whatever social media site taught them to act like that for at LEAST a month, and they'd be spending that time scrubbing floors and cleaning bathrooms and helping me cook, and doing whatever other unpleasant chores around the house need doing. If you're going to treat a service worker badly, you're going to WORK like one until you never look down on the people who make the world run again! (Not to mention I'd be taking a long hard look at my own parenting to figure out why any child under my roof thought they could get away with treating someone like that.)

It's probably tempting to just give into your kids at times, but it's not helpful in the long run. Kids will learn to escalate their behavior to get what they want to the point where they act like this to strangers. Some strangers aren't so forgiving.

I am so glad to be out of retail. With my old age temperament, these smart ass kids would be getting smacked.
