man derek yu is such a genius. I bet that's specifically made for Sparrow's quest
Not only that, but he could also use the key from Volcana that gets Van Horsing. A lot of options!
Sometimes in tide pool there will be generation on the levels of a little hidey hole with a key on one side of the level, and a locked door on the other. Perhaps you can use that key to break into Tusk's vault?
Love the explosive endings! They ARE funny. Though some of your reactions to the deaths are pretty epic, too.
I've been watching your channel on and off since your spelunky 1 how to deal with shopkeepers video many many years ago. You're genuinely entertaining and great, you've made me laugh lots and it's easy to tell by your vids that you're a laid back humble person as well.

You should probably try to find a skeleton key in 1-4, in all the piles of bones, if you dont already have one by that point.
I do that like every time, because I have a problem; it's honestly not worth the time, it's so rare (1/1000 I think on the wiki), it would take soooooo many runs 👎
@@benejeneb I would think its worth the time if its your goal to open up locked doors lol. Its a lot better then going all the way through with a failed run. Always give yourself the best odds.

i think someething weirds going on with the audio, the game sfx and muxic get louder when you stop talking and softer when you do, it seems

Just freeze the damn shopkeeper and run. You won't kill him, nor damage him, so it's an absolute win!
freezing him still adds +2 levels until mercy if he breaks out before you leave the level
Has to be direct stealing for sparrow!
