Nobody ever mentions that Pope Francis was heavily criticised for what many said was his silence during Argentina’s Dirty War. I thought at the time of his election that it was simply the Left’s attempt at criticism of the new pope. I’m tempted to think that it’s more the case of him going with whatever government, or in this case dominant media holds sway over the Narrative.
My point is this: No proof exists that the then Fr Bergoglio actively colluded with the right wing junta, but there were many accusations that he did hand over two prominent Jesuits. At the very least, he remained silent. He probably did then, what he does now.

He has, by giving Pelosi communion, taught that someone can receive communion unworthily - which contradicts 1 Cor 11:27. He has, by warmly welcoming unrepentant practitioners of sodomy into the Vatican taught that sodomy is not a sin. By not reprimanding James Martin SJ for saying that St Paul was wrong about whether sodomy was a sin he has taught that sodomy is not contrary to Catholic moral teaching. He has by saying that God wills (rather than merely permits) the diversity of religions , taught that God wants people to follow false religions. He has taught that doctrine (as distinct from its mode of expression) can evolve - which means that the Church can teach things which are not part of the deposit of faith and even contrary to it. He has taught that the Church should not evangelize people - which is contrary to the Great Commission in Matthew 28:16+

He thus draws the conclusion that the pope has excommunicated himself by asserting the contrary of Trent.having been a very successful attorney before becoming a priest, Fr. The presenter answers this rhetorical question by saying that it is because religious freedom is much more secure in the USA. The Pope can criticize the United States without fear that Churches will be bulldozed or Bishops jailed, as might happen if he criticized China, or Catholic clergy refused visas or religious orders suppressed if he criticized Russia.
True, but he could at least make it clearer, without naming names, that there are other countries he cannot criticize so frankly, lest Catholics in those countries suffer reprisals from the regime.

Pope Francis has not been silent about the war in Ukraine.
He has condemned this war and called for stopping it immediately. He has attempted a peace mission.
Yet, it is broadly expected that the Pope of Rome should be acting first and foremost as the spiritual leader and teacher.
Regrettably, I have to express again my opinion that
    - Pope Francis, as the spiritual leader and teacher, has never publicly expressed his views about the Moscow Patriarchate's attempts to provide religious inspiration and justification not only for the war in Ukraine, but for the Russian authorities' nationalistic aggressive ideas of "spiritual" supremacy of Russia and its "holy" role in the modern world as a "defender" of Christianity and "traditional" values, "Russian world", and so on.
    - Pope Francis, as the spiritual leader and teacher, has never publicly offered his views on the spiritual position of the Moscow’s Patriarch blessing a murderous war, elevating it to the status of a crusade and preaching presumed forgiveness of personal sins of all the Russian soldiers involved in this war.
    - Pope Francis, as the spiritual leader and teacher, has never publicly offered a spiritual teaching on the incompatibility of Christianity and nationalism as it specifically applies to the war in Ukraine and current nationalistic tendencies in the world.
My believe is that it is vitally essential. From this perspective, so far, it is hard to appreciate and accept the lack of Pope Francis' spiritual reaction to such a challenge.
The Moscow Patriarchate attempts to provide religious inspiration and justification not only for the war in Ukraine, but for the Russian authorities' nationalistic aggressive ideas of "spiritual" supremacy.
Thus, this situation is not limited to Ukraine and politics only, but directly challenges the Church's standing in fundamental spiritual matters and requires relevant response.
At this time, to preach peace and forgiveness is insufficient. There is a need to undertake a ‘spiritual struggle’. The present war, at its very core, is birthed from perverted symbiosis of religious and nationalist ambitions of a totalitarian regime. This war is inherently ideological in its origin. In order to achieve victory, it is necessary to resort to ideological and spiritual means. The Church must take it upon itself to repudiate the Patriarch’s blasphemy.
The position of the Moscow’s Patriarch is dubious insofar as he blesses a murderous war elevated to the status of a crusade.
In light of the silence of the Pope regarding the involvement of the Russian Church in the war, it is very good to see that Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople has taken the challenge to respond to Moscow’s perversion of the Christian message and in doing so, has shown all the signs of a truly spiritual leadership. At this point, there is no room for diplomacy or half-measures as they only deepen the infamy of the Russian church and all that it inspires.
    Faithfully yours, bishop Vincent Berg.

Internally, Pope Francis has banned Latin Mass. This was quite unnecessary, there were plenty of measures he could have used short of such a crime against the broader Church, to address tensions but no, his ideology governs his views, his clericalism, the demonising of all who rediscover the faith through the old rite - which is pretty much all the young folks around here. And it's more than just Americans.
Neither will we "grow to love" the Mass of the Sixties. We've had 50 years to see how inadequate it is.
Without honesty, the authority of the Chair of St Peter is devalued, as Francis packs Synod and Vatican with his mates.

His responses are seldom clear and he appears to dislike the traditional latin Mass or those who seek it. Why? No, my friend. One has to make oneself respected in order to receive the respect. Especially the pope. Unfortunately, this pope has not. Pray for the pope and all of us! God bless you.

If only Pope Francis knew how badly people who spent their 30 or more years of their lives working and building Catholic communities in America, based on Vatican II, taking on lay ministries, making the parishes the center of their lives, not just on Sundays and carrying Christ's light and love out into the world. Then seeing those efforts mocked, insulted and ultimately shut down by priests who wanted a church which had a high Christology, and which was controlled completely from the top down. As one pastor told his bishop, "I got rid of all the troublemakers, referring to those who had been the most involved and supportive in the parish. He will probably never get those Catholics or their children or grandchildren back.

It seems that Pope Francis's approach to brutal authoritarian regimes in China and Russia is an open hand, while to Americans and anyone who disagrees with him it is a clenched fist. I have little in common with the church in the US, but even for me his crass rude tone to those that don't share his views is getting tiresome. I thought some recent popes were intolerant but the pale into insignificance compared to Francis's increasing intolerance of those who don't agree with him. Instead of trying to convince them, he just makes snide and often crude dismissive comments, mocking them. The man's arrogance is striking.

Well said! BerGOGlio was the rescuer and enabler of McCarrick, the most vile and prolific Pedophile that has ever existed in the USA, not just in the Church. For over 80 years ( since he was in Junior High School and was expelled for abusing younger kids) , McCarrick has raped and abused kids, and, later on, young Seminarians and Priests, some of whom went on to commit Suicide. It was McCarrick and his pals who chose BerGOGlio and were instrumental in the non -canonical Election. McCarrick boasted about it (while drunk, on Life Site TV, in March 2013) and said that, "Francis will change the Church in 5 years." THAT was the only time that McCarrick told the truth and boy, was that an under-statement!! Saintly Pope Benedict had banished McCarrick to a Monastery and a life of "Prayer, Penance and Repantance," and BerGOGlio´s first act as " Pope," was to rescue him, hence the McCarrick Interview on Life Site TV that March 2013. McCarrick said he had voted for his pal in the previous Conclave. Do you think a saintly Cardinal would vote for BerGOGlio or be an accomplice of McCarrick?? "Birds of a feather," and all that!! Once rescued from the Monastery, BerGOGlio sent McCarrick to China to "negotiate" and sign the China Agreement with the Communist Government which has meant the destruction of the Catholic Church there and the Persecution, even Execution, of Faithful Catholics. BerGOGlio is paid $2 billion per year by the Chinese Government for renewing that "Agreement." The only one, telling the truth about China, is saintly Cardinal Zen whom BerGOGlio hates and shuns.

He first quotes the dogmas of Trent regarding the necessity of a state of grace for Holy Communion and points out that those who teach the contrary are anathema and excommunicated. He thus draws the conclusion that the pope has excommunicated himself by asserting the contrary of Trent.

Francis' lament after the death - in gang related explosion - of Russian imperialist proponent Dugin's daughter was an expression of deeply felt sorrow for the Ukrainian women being raped by Russian soldiers. Extolling Peter I and Catherine of Russia as torchbearers of Russian culture and humanity was definitely a proper way of remembering millions of people who died uselessly - not being able to read Francis' Fratelli Tutti, thus not being able to enjoy the beauty of northern, unspoiled countryside - in Siberia sent there by the merciful Russian Empire.

Pope Francis is confusing millions of Catholic Christians with his diluted pronouncements. Some Catholic theologians have stated that Francis is walking a very thin line from heretical thinking. We know that he was a Liberal priest when he lived in Argentina. Is he still a Liberal? Yes, he is due to his statements since he was voted as a Catholic Pope. I am very, very disappointed, as a Catholic Christian, with Pope Francis as my shepherd. As all of us he needs prayers because he needs to modify his secular beliefs. I ask when was the last time Pope Francis called Homosexuality as a Sin of Sodomy? I do not remember. PERHAPS because he has not. Communist China is a Totalitarian country they are atheists who look at Francis as big Fool. So why give them any diplomatic approval when it comes to the Persecution of Christians.
