  • “When Christ calls a man, he bids them come and die.” So said Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer who was executed by the Nazis at Flossenbürg concentration camp. True commitment to Christ is no lark; it is seismic. Join me and Bishop Robert Barron as we discuss The Strangest Way - the nature, impact, and responsibility that comes with authentic conversion to Catholicism.

    I think this topic is so timely and desperately needed. We hear so much about a welcoming Church (as it always should be), but hear very little about the conversation that is necessary. The mission is not to increase headcount in the pews, but to be on fire for Jesus Christ ✝️. Let us all continue to be converted.

    This may be my all time favorite interview or talk with my beloved Bishop Barron.
    I am an adult convert; everything he is saying here rings absolutely true. It’s so comforting, not feeling alone in this. Thank you again and again for how you’ve helped me, Bishop!

    I've never listened to one of these podcasts before. Thank you, Mr. Worner & Bishop Barron. Such a meaningful discussion. May your work continue to be blessed in the New Year of 2024.

    Hi, Mr. Tad, your come and die is like Thomas, the doubtful said to the other disciples, “Let us also go and die with him.” In my experience, the call of Jesus it's crazy because to die for us is not an easy one. His cross and suffering are laid on every Christian who abandons Him (none are left and want to come back for soup only, but I'll you there). I dare to surrender my life to Christ, but I end up boring myself in his body on the cross like a prayer. God bless you all.

    I ❤ bishop barron. The other day, the devil was wearing a skin of bishop barron and pretended to be him in my dream. I remember reading that St. Gemma spat on the devil. I understand her strength and the love of God. St. Gemma, Pray for us. Jesus, I trust in you! ❤ Sabina

      I remember I had a dream of Bishop Barron too, and I'm not even Christian.

      @ThePlayfarer True God! Nothing but you, Oh Lord? Once, in my dream, bishop barron has send me off to the world with the Sacred Heart of Jesus Image (specifically of my own painting turned into a small prints) on the envelopes, two of them. He didn't speak to me and I was in his office. It seemed like my and bishop Barron's angels I saw. For some reasons some angels don't need to speak. True God, we Love and I love you whom I am replying, because I love God. I listen when Bishop Barron says, Peace be with you! ❤️ Sabina

    Thank you for all you do. As a subscriber to The Evangelization of Culture, I continue to struggle reading the small print and pages where print is overlaid on dark backgrounds. I ask that your desire for a "pretty publication" not get in the way of an easily read publication.

    If to be at peace with God forever is death, is it wrong to be happy to be closer to death and find that the only happy relief?

    I just wondered if spirituality / religion had to die to be reborn in our age?

    Is a Jesuit an early form of Roman Catholic because the Bible refers to other books 📚 explaining the history more fully?

    Why all this talk of the "ego?" Isn't this all just Freudianism?

    • @lisamarieyavarone2362
      @lisamarieyavarone2362 Před 7 měsíci +4

      No. We have a choice. Star in our own story, how everything and everyone relates to me---the ego drama. Or accept a supporting role in the story of salvation, in God's story, using our God-given gifts, talents, and time for love of God and neighbor---the Theo-drama. Freud would have none of that. God bless you!
