It was a little hard to understand, do these allow in situ alignment? As in able to go 0.01 degree increments? Or are there a certain amount of pre set camber setting eg. -3, 0, 3
I'm surprised you went through tires so quickly at -2 degrees. I usually stay around -1.5 on most of my performance street cars. That extra half a degree must be a big one.
Maybe by design? The 2IS has a natural inner tire busting design issue (some people mention 5-10k miles and inside looking bald whereas rest of tire still has ~ 70%). Manufacturers like RRRacing and Figs have made bushings to combat this issue and perhaps this fix is only one of many issues that could contribute to such tire wearing capabilities. iirc Toe kills tires more than camber, a lot of people and myself have been between -2 and -3.5 all around without quick or excessive tire wear. Different cars, weight category, suspension geometry etc. by the time inside is bald you'd be best to change the entire tire.
i have about 2.2 degrees of camber in the front of my mk6 gti and about 20,000km on Hankook RS3s and coilovers, pretty sure its your toe that was wrong, not your camber. My tyres look fine. My toe was out on stock suspension and that killed my tyre within 10,000km
Is it possible to torque the top nut while its on the car? I cannot fit a combination wrench or socket with ratchet... do I need a flex ratchet? crow foot wrench?
I’m buying a 1gen eagle talon tsi. Awd pick between two both have rebuilt motor 1st has 20k in motor and CX racing parts form turbo and Manifold and more fule wb 455 and 1150cc injectors and CX racing gt35 turbo making 450 hp low boost ....good buy or .......
I wonder if there's anything stopping me from using these adjustable ball joints and turning them 90 degrees and using them for caster adjustment instead. I have an Acura TL that I feel could really benefit from some more caster, but lacks any factory adjustment.
@@PoorManMods the car is double wishbone like your Lexus. I can't find offset bushings so I'm thinking if I turn the adjustable ball joints and use them for fore/aft instead of in/out I might be able to gain caster adjustment.
Have you had any issues after intalling the ball joints? Im thinking of installing these on my IS350 but i am worried that they might not be as reliable or strong as the oem ball joints
I'm pretty sure my isf has this same issue, thanks for the how to. Still wish I could get a lift after paying for the isf....
Good vid but don't torque the control arm bushings until the suspension is loaded or they will fail prematurely.
How ??
@@VICTORLopez-gi2ec load it up with a jack
They can fail prematurely. This also adds a bit of effective spring rate since the bushing will be adding force.
Great video Freddy!!! Was tinking about those for my IS300, They seems to be well made, You'd just convinced me
Thank you!
Lowered my Acura TL and getting this done today. Nice Vid.
Thanks!
Hey! See YOU next time!

Strut sag can cause this as well
His toe is wack, I’m -2.5 deg camber on 200tw tires, 15k daily miles and counting

Right on. The toe is the real tyre eater. On these cars, it helps have a slight positive toe.
Does anyone know if they sell it in a one pack or two

Going down the rabbit hole of messing with a good reliable car that leads to problems. 😂
Yup!
Great video this help me out a lot thank you so much
Great work
Yo Mike what's good man you think these would fit my 1998 honda accord v6 4door I have the same problem as you any ideas 💡
Did this ultimately make your alignment better? What’s your feedback?
Hey bro killer videos and amazing content free 99 knowledge
Or a rebuilt fresh zero miles and has a 16 g with a SAFC but mostly stock what better buy both $3500???

So what did you end up on camber wise? I am looking at these for my 2014 IS350, but I want zero to 1/2 degree positive.
I dont remember, i took it to my alignment guy and he got it within factory spec
What do you mean there is no factory adjustment? Whats is the stock setting?
There is no factory camber adjustment, if you need to adjust it you have to do what I did in this video

Hmmmm idk
Can you get caster/camber plates for the struts or get offset caster bushings?

What’s the top nut tourqe spec

Zero issues so far
@@PoorManMods thanks for replying, i will probably put them on then, since it's basically the only option for positive camber
Any issues with these after having them on your car for 2+ years?
nope!
I needed a balljoint separator.. but 20 year old car 🤷🏻♂️
What strut and spring are u running ??
Oem
that doesn't look healthy at all. That nut only holding on a couple of FINE threads
Torque and loctite!
@@PoorManMods wire holes on the nuts! :D anyway nice mod!
