    I put in an order for a Stingray March 2023. I hope to get a 2024 allocation, but with the wait time and price increase, I'm almost ready to say screw it.

    • @JumpSquadAuto
      @JumpSquadAuto  Před rokem +3

      If you have never had a mid engine car, it is worth the wait. Go with a big straight shooter dealer and current wait times are looking like 4-5 months which isn't bad from what they used too be.

      I’m buying used this winter. Screw it. I’m not waiting 2 to 3 years for an allocation.

    I have been on the Corvette Build and Price Configurator since 10:30 this morning
    My ERAY 2LZ HTC is built for around $124,000
    ERAY 2LZ starts at
    $115,400
    Freight went to $1,595
    Rapid Blue Metallic
    2LZ, Bright Wheel &
    Chrome Lug Nuts, Jet Black Napa Interior, GT2 Seats, Liner Package, ZER Package, Carbon Flash Accents, Carbon Flash Painted Mirrors and Spoiler, Spoiler Extension, Battery Protection Package, Tow Hook, Front Lift
    Anything else for a suggestion?
    I thought they might offer the Radiator Grill Guards as an option to be installed at the factory?
    Does the ERAY have that DAMN Start/Stop?
    I hope not!!!
    I’m #1 in line at my local Dealership where I got my 2022 C8 Red Mist HTC
    So I need to get ready for the call from my Salesman to say an allocation is there for me!!!

      Very close to my build. The Z06 and Eray grill guard option isn't out yet. I personally like the painted roof and nacelles. Id skip accessories you can get after the fact as they may hold up your order. The Eray does have start stop. I think they will make erays in big numbers as its assembly built motor so you will get one quickly I hope.

    Congrats on the the upcoming eRay. I'm on MacMulkin's Z06 list but in the mid-1,200's so maybe by 2027 I will get an allocation call. Got on their Z06 list way too late after my local dealer who I bought 3 Corvettes in the past screwed me and went to "market pricing" from MSRP. I also "camped out" at MacMulkin for an eRay and got in the mid-60's spot on the list. However having a reality check with the recent price releases, looks like a new similarly equipped eRay is going to cost me $35,000 more than I paid for my loaded '22 Stingray HTC. I might just end up keeping the '22, I love it and i am not sure I love the eRay $35k more... plus a fight I'm sure to get appropriate trade in number on my '22. Will see when my number comes up for eRay allocation. Can't wait to see what you configure, I am/was leaning towards the new Riptide, yellow accents and stitching.

    • @JumpSquadAuto
      @JumpSquadAuto  Před rokem

      Can't go wrong with the riptide blue. I am leaning on the new gray or finally get an orange car. I am 0-5 on buying an orange car lol. I think the Eray will be worth it and value hold well till your z06 arrives. I also passed on being 80s on MM's Z06 list when I got my first C8 in 2020 and opted to go with another dealer who did a blind bidding system which left me out to dry for the Z06. Another smaller dealer stepped in locally but got 1 allocation all year and I'm #5.

    • @mdk9950
      @mdk9950 Před rokem +1

      @@JumpSquadAuto Yep, if the "another dealer who did a blind bidding" is one of you fellow CZcamsrs in Central Ohio, I was on his Z06 list too. He was my Z06 backup, never bought from him but wanted to do so and he is only 3 hours from Pittsburgh. I told him to take me off his list when his dealership implemented blind-bidding. I will not pay any more than MSRP nor will I ever deal with him again, he was horrible on any follow up, too many irons in the fire I guess.
      The Pennsylvania dealer who I bought 3 Corvettes from was my primary Z06 list and I was 11th on his list and got on it when I picked up my 2020 C8. 11th would have got me a '23. My second C8 I bought from MacMulkin and got on his Z06 list then, but it was too late. Originally, thought being on two Z06 list I would be OK, that's why I pass on MacMulkin Z06 list in 2020. Learned my lesson to deal with straight shooters. I was in the Ciocca Z06 fiasco too with deposit registered at 12:21 and I received a 3,000 to 3,500 number in line.
      Chevy really needs to find a way to get allocations to people like me who are loyal, I've had 17 different Corvettes 9 of them were brand new... and keep them out of the hands of flippers. They can see who has kept them so far and who has flipped. Flippers should be banned from any future models.

    • @JumpSquadAuto
      @JumpSquadAuto  Před rokem +1

      @@mdk9950 You are spot on on your guess. Its the nature of the business I guess. I tried for Ciocca and ended up 1900 and my wire went in at 12:32 so that whole process was a mess. GM for sure needs to get organized cause their buying experience has totally become trash. Besides Corvette and this last Escalade, I wont' buy anything else from them at this rate. They are going to suffer from the brand damage of how they handled themselves over the last few years leaving their customers to deal with so many bad dealers. Throttling production of their trucks to maintain a supply squeeze was probably the last draw for me. Corvettes are the exception. Everything else....Ram or Ford or German haha

    I'm in the low 100's at a top 5 dealer in the country selling at MSRP, here in the Dallas area, local dealer's such as Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine and El Dorado in McKinney, TX are just to name a few that are charging 50K over MSRP and are NOT on the CorvetteBlogger HALL OF SHAME dealer list that should be, the manager from this dealer had absolutely no shame in saying that "we are going to start a auction to see if we can get more", are you serious, these dealer's will never see me buying or servicing my car's at their dealers, GM has fault in this, as there is a HALL OF SHAME on BAD dealer's out there for everyone to see, GM also knows and should NOT give Z06 allocations to these BAD dealer's and REWARD the good dealer's that sell MSRP and are LOYAL to their customers and to customer's that actually love's Corvette's like myself, it's just frustrating seeing dealer's and people taking advantage, working people like me take work 2 jobs and get's paid hourly just to have your dream car can't buy because of the selfishmess of dealer's and flippers.

    Porsche raised their 2024 prices by around 7.5% to over 10% - on a $150,000 porsche it could have a price increase for $15,000 - ouch !

      I placed my Z06 order exactly a year ago next week. Getting cancelled and rolled over hopelessly. GM really dropped the ball on that rollout hard.

    • @stevencampos4456
      @stevencampos4456 Před rokem +5

      GM’s been dropping the ball hard on production numbers since the rollout of the C5 they should be able to produce at least 50k Corvette’s every year as long as the demand is there. The problem is they have to many rinky-dink suppliers that can’t keep up with production, there should never ever ever ever ever be any constraints on any item you want built on your new Vette how many years has General Motors been in business?

  • @qtwengler10
    @qtwengler10 Před rokem +1

    Had to figure they were gonna increase prices. If flippers can see that their vehicles are worth more, I'm sure they do too

    • @JumpSquadAuto
      @JumpSquadAuto  Před rokem

      I agree. The price increase is very reasonable for the coming changes!

  • @jeffreykilpatrick3592

    Porsche dealers just don’t get very many 911’s to sell new - and in the second market they trade above msrp so they price the cars to the true market value- which is logical. They own the car and why should they sell it to you below the real market value? You would not sell a car you own for $10,000 less than the car is worth.
