Google Messages Bouncing Text Problem on Samsung Z Fold 5! - "Fix" or Workaround

- Showing the annoyance of this problem occurring on my Samsung Z fold 5. Started a few months ago, did not ever do this when I first got the phone. This is a little workaround to stop the bouncing text. Not every fold user has this problem as some on my previous video stated they didn't have it (I'm jealous!) As of today 03/21/24 there is no real fix for this, uninstalling and reinstalling does nothing. We will have to wait for an update or you can change the view like I did here.

I have fold 3 which has been doing this and it was most annoying, thanks for the video and I have followed your advice and all is working again. Definitely a bug that Samsung will have to work out. Thanks again.
Thanks you sir. Although we shouldn't have to do this work around it did fix the problem. I can't tell you how many messages I've sent out with typos because you can't see it as you're typing past the second line in the other screen.
Hopefully they will eventually fix it.

This workaround definitely helped! I have a Pixel Fold, and it has the same problem. I'm pretty sure foldable phones across the board are experiencing the same problem. Hopefully Google can fix the issue so I can go back to the original view. But until then, definitely going with the workaround. Thanks! ✊🏼

This happened to me but i had multi window tab on the top center. Once i turned it off it my text was smaller and i no longer had the issue. Might be a text size problem if its too big in the split chat mode for the texting bubble it bugs out after 2 lines of chat entering the 3rd.
Detail chat view seems to be supported. I no longer get the glitching screen when texting.
I appreciate this video. I hope they plan to fix this because I've gotten used to the split screen. But I will turn the split screen off and use it like this video. Does anyone know why I can't send attachments like screenshots to multiple people when they have iphones, and I obviously have an Android device?

google should be embarrassed. no issues for months. they had an update, and shit went bonkers. literally have 1 person go over the updates and see when the bug started, and then "debug" the issue. if the are brilliant minds at google, this would have been fixed. makes you wonder if they dont care about the minority users of the fold devices

If you open Google messages, tap top right corner on your Google account profile, then messages settings

It's not Google, the same thing happens in the Samsung keyboard only you can't change that setting. It's a Samsung issue.
I have had success with other messaging apps so I think it's google. Unfortunately the other apps suck though.
So annoying, I just close and write with the phone folded.

@@thekaydubz Bro!!!!!!!!! i fixed mine. watch fliptroniks handhelds video called "Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 - How To Change Default Messaging App" this made my phone work like normal. no bouncing, not hiding the 2nd line of text. and it works in split screen mode. essentially you change to the 2nd option of your default messages app

You spend all that money on a device that does not work like it is supposed to out of the box. Cell phones sure are a disappointment.
I have switched to the Samsung Messages app until this is resolved.
