    Haven’t seen a ball joint that badly worn in years it must have been knocking and banging for a good while good job that you got to it in time a decent sized pot hole and that would have failed

    Think the ballpoint is gone in my mazda 5 I've also got a lower booth an seal that's got to get done. Good vid again really enjoyin these tonight with tea and biscuits. #SUPERTECH

      On mine it's not more like 50mm

    Does wheel alignment need doing after replacing ball joint? There must be some adjustment in the positioning of the 3 hole plate to the hub?

      Not necessary, no. The position wont change after replacing the ball joint. You do however when replacing bearings/hubs etc. Greg

    do you think I would have any chance of getting away with the drive shaft in its place without loosening the nut?

      Couldn,t on mine, the hub needed to come out too far, you will need a 42 mm socket( preferably a strong impact type) as the nut is torqued really high.

      You could just jack the strut up to remove those bolts, I believe.
