"Ted is like a sister to Larry!" xD
WHAT A LITTLE YENTA!
best line in the episode
@@CurbYourTube It really is! Thanks for these videos by the way! lol
It feels like the same thing 🤷♂️
Yeah!
I love how jon hamm continually interjects himself into the discussion but then insists "I'm not here" when called out lol.
Any askers?
Lol!
I also love how he's very clearly not writing much down in that notepad either haha
I wish Jon hamm was in more episodes
Classic Larry move
I like how everyone refers to Jon Hamm by his full name hahaha
It's so good, they so that in Toast of London too
Larry called him Jonny and it really took me by surprise
@@TLC673 The little background music in that episode 🎶hamm...duh..duh..Hamm !🎶 Good show they should do a 4th series
Larry called him Johnny
When Jon Hamm pop out of nowhere and Susie says, "Jon Hamm, what the fuck is Jon Hamm doing in my house," is comedy gold
"What is Jon Hamm doing in my house?!?" I don't know why, but that line is freakin' hilarious.
It’s so casual. Like, who do you have to be to be pissed off that Jon Hamm just casually strolls into your house.
😂😂😂
Fuckin quality meta joke
And Susie's jacket and ridiculous hat are the icing on the cake.
The fact that everyone says his full name in conversation just kills me every time.
Me, personally, would be thrilled if Jon Hamm would step into my house
RIP Richard Lewis, what a legendary comedian 😢
Love how Larry literally starts a side conversation with John Ham about shoes in the middle of being yelled at by his x-wife for banging her sister. CLASSIC!
Jon Hamm immediately does the same with The Crown lol
"New sneaks?" Lol
@@henrgtbf I just watched the crown it’s pretty good
I feel like only this show could pull that off so well
Is this the same sister who was angry at Larry years before because he unintentionally got her Jewish fiance to change his mind about converting to a Christian, which she made a condition for them to get married?
Jon Hamm killed it!!
PC Peasants Gaming Love him... 🥰
he was pretty good...
Such an underrated actor it’s crazy
@@risdon34 Pretty... pretty good.
@@IMatchoNation Pretty... pretty... pretty good...
How LD-level ballsy of Jon Ham to point out Lewis going over his appetizer allotment?
Jon Hamm is a great Don Draper and an average comical actor, just saying
@@garymorris4526 definitely disagreed, Don Draper was pretty damn funny at times and Jon has had quite a few good roles comedically so far
Larry is every decent man but is willing to call people out when they aren't decent
@@garymorris4526 maybe on average, but he’s hitting his marks dead-on in this ep
He's got a point though LOL
Watching Hamm "synchronize" with Larry over the course of about three minutes is just amazing. You get the impression he could do it with anyone he meets.
Hamm is an incredibly good actor. Mad Men, hilarious character on 30 Rock, probably my favorite cameo of all time on Curb.
And a really disturbing character on Black Mirror.
He's a handsome guy, so it's harder to give him a good rating for the general public, but he crushes every role.
@@russellphotos195 He nailed it as Fletch as well.
I love how every character referred to Jon Hamm by his full name all the time
Larry calls him johnny
Joel Brousseau “everyone knows about Jon Hamm and his charisssmaaaaa”
What? John, rather than Jon? Yeah, I can see how you noticed that.
Watch "Toast of London". It's the same on that show. Always "Jon Hamm" never "Jon" or "Mr. Hamm".
They do that with most of the "big name" characters. The Blacks call Larry LD, most of the cast always calls and Richard Lewis by his full name, and Larry referred to Ted Danson in this video and always calls Marty by Funkhouser. It's probably intentional.
Jon hamm has the best line deliver ever in this episode. “Who mentions that at a dinner party?” and “Who is that racist toward, Susan’s?” had me in stitches
Could you spin the indefatigable Susan, please??
@@joshyaashCan I have the multifaceted susan my way, please?
I like how "what the fuck are you doing in my house?", didn't faze Jon one bit, and he walks right in and sits down. This guys the Man.
The door was ajar...
Well he was there to see David, so it's like explosion dinner. You just roll with the punches.
"So the character is a disgusting pervert?"
"That's good *chuckles*"
I'm not even here!
Defo a sub at draper
Richard Lewis looks like an antagonist from courage the cowardly dog.
10/10 would return all the slabs
He is not aging well, poor guy.
you went waaaay out on a limb with that reference........................and I loved it
he looks like the one who created the paper cut outs of Muriel and Eustace.
im fucking crying at this comment
This is one of the best sequences of television comedy I've ever seen. Jon Hamm is note perfect and every single character in the four minutes gets at least one great line off, even Jeff
Woody Allen-esque
The first couple of seasons are packed with comedy Gold , this is just meh...
“Yeah, gooo, go be him, asshole!” 😂
Jon Hamm is “Jon Hamm” to everybody but Larry. To him it’s simply “Jonny”. I love it.
Jeff: Ted is like a sister to Larry!!
Lmao such a good wingman
Larry always had his back too. Jeff could commit murder and Larry would be Al Cowlings driving that Bronco around LA
When Larry David dies, Jon Hamm needs to keep Curb going to honor his memory.
When Larry David dies I'm gonna go into lockdown again(assuming we're coming out of this)
Knock on wood
No, it just wouldn’t be the same
@@sully2932 Doesn't need to be the same show. Spinoff.
that's a pretty good idea.... Pretty.... Pretty..... good.
Well Larry david isnt going to die until hes about atleast 98.....so hamm will be around 65-70....idk
Susie's "go be him asshole" is a very underrated line
According to who ???
Who the hell is rating these lines?

"The door was ajar". Well played Mr. Hamm. Well played.
Richard Lewis is really settling into his role as the Crypt Keeper
I thought that was Kellyanne Conway.
I’d say Richard Lewis is aging like a bag of milk, but I wouldn’t want to insult milk like that.
DonnyD the dude is 72... would love to see how you’re looking at that age. Probably won’t even be able to drive still. 😂

Tommy Salami I'd give her one
"So you're both irked"
Love that little line in there. Didn't even notice it on the first viewing, but this is such a Larry David line.
This show has so many little details in it that it warrants rewatches.
Agreed. That is a gold star little line that adds so much
Clearly an ad lib.
condescending confirmation at its finest ala LD
"Are we talking about The Crown? How good is that show?" - Jon Hamm is amazingly perfect in this role.
The fact that they managed to squeeze the “your door was Ajar” reference from the gay wedding episode into this scenario is hilarious. Great writing this season!
There is no writing....
And the unspoken allotment rule
It is written though, in the sense that he plots it out and has beats he wants them to hit
Lol I like how they used the word "the" in this episode like a reference to that other episode where they used the word "the"!
That's how you sound.
And wasn't the "tsahhhh" after taking a drink, referring to Suzie's annoying habit.
I wish we could have a whole season with John Hamm shadowing Larry
same
love when he tells Larry not to mention the "bloody rectum " at the party, hamm said "who mentions that at a dinner table" lol
The funny thing is, Jon had to study Larry to act in his show where he plays himself studying Larry and acting like Larry. And he does it amazingly
"Why are we filming all my scenes first, Larry?"
-Richard Lewis
Hahaha
They've got to get his scenes done first, before he drops dead on them.
:(
@@user-dnf83n0s8sg9u The funny thing is I was looking for this comment I made in light of recent news.
John Hamm really missed his calling as a comic actor.
At this point he's probably been in just as much comedic stuff. He just happened to hit it big for a dramatic role.
He's great in Bridesmaids, which came out a while ago.
He hasn’t missed anything. He’s mostly been doing comedies for the past few years.
He's in a mini series called A Young Doctors Notebook with Daniel Radcliffe, there are several comedic moments he nails in that show 😊
you say while watching him act in a comedic role
Because of this I do appetizer allotment. RIP Richard Lewis
"The door was ajar."
That line kills me every time, because it is a reference to that time Larry got in trouble for a door that was ajar and he was snoopy.
Tells you that John Hamm is already in the Larry zone.
I wondered if Larry told him that story or if it just came to him naturally 🤣🤣
Lol the joke of the episode is that he’s already the same and I love it
"STOP SAYING THE DOOR WAS AJAR!"
well ajar sounds funny, it's kinda pretentious, but then again, it perfectly situates something LD would say. Also, I am finding references to Columbo, saying : sorry the door was open. just to intrude.
Richard Lewis literally looks more dead than alive and yet he is still genuinely funny. Legend.
He looks awesome n hot to me
@@fatimaliakat3203, Richard…try and get a better fake name to respond to, on those comments
May he rest in peace
Door was ajar/ had your allotment. Jon Ham legit became Larry David.
This whole episode was hilarious. Jon Hamm is the greatest actor. He was brilliant in Mad Men as Don Drapper and he"s great at comedy too!
I liked him as one of Liz Lemons boyfriends in 30 Rock.
I like how it’s everyone’s nightmare or annoyance but Larry is genuinely having a great time hahah
And theirs no problem with Cheryl sleepn with Ted....lol
I think Larry is just Happy that Suzie is angry.
My wife would disagree but the world needs more Larry David‘s.
I don't think your wife would have a problem with more Larry Davids like Jon Hamm.
onmy computer2020gal I was gonna say the same thing. It’s one type extra. 😂
YES!!
Why’s that?
onmy computer2020gal You’re one of the Larry Davids.
When Jon Hamm says PRETTTTY GOOD i lost it
Why is everyone else on this show aging at lightspeed while Larry stays the same? Is he some kind of vampire?
Larry got all his aging done early.
Because working with Larry is what's causing everyone else to age so fast lol.
Big deal.so larry looks younger.you work hard you got money you look younger
He eats quite clean
Dat Seinfeld money.
I love when Larry is with Richard. They’re probably my favourite together.
I honestly think this is the best season of curb ever.
That's an exaggeration, but it's pretty, pretty good.
AirSandFire pretty...
My favorite line form this season: Magical.
@@AirSandFire go be him asshole 😃
jon hamm and leon are the two best things to happen to the show. I hope more than anything that jon hamm is prominent in at least 2 more episodes
"I didn't cross a line. I went over the line you already crossed!!" :)
The single best part of this clip that is basically impossible to notice takes place at 3:18. Hamm says "We ordered this kinda for the table" and LD already starts nodding, as though he already can appreciate where Hamm is going with the next comment hahaha
Appetizer allotment, tippy toe at night, double dip, Larry knows his unwritten rules of society
Jon Hamm absolutely nailed this. Lol. Hilarious episode.
Well Jon Hamm is a PRETAYY PRETAYY good actor.
Richard going over his appetizer allotment, Christian Slater going over his caviar allotment
Must be still wartime in Larry's mind
Larry living the dream. Making a sitcom about himself, dating pretty ladies and now John Ham wanna emulate him
Pretty pretty good
The bit Larry saying: "YOU CROSSED THE LINE. I didn't cross the line. I went over the line, that you already crossed" 🤣🤣🤣
But really crossing the line is going over the appetizer allotment! 😂
This is like a superhero teamup.
I thought Jon Hamm was going to sleep with Cheryl to complete the evolution into Larry David at the end of the episode. 😂
But then you realize, Hamm ruining his chances to sleep with Cheryl because of his neurotic behavior is the most Larry David thing ever :D
She wishes. Jon Hamm is smuggling giant kielbasa 24/7, if you know what I mean.
That would be very Charlie Kaufman

The best part for me is at the end of the argument with Cheryl, when Larry just decides to leave. 'You know what, I've heard enough.' That right there is a man who's not married anymore.
Its so weird, depending on the lighting and angles, Cheryl can look like a beautiful woman or Skeletor.

What? Cheryl looks so hot in this whole episode.
Larry is impossible to beat when he has John Hamm by his side echoing his sentiment. Usually it's just Jeff agreeing and cheerleading him, but with John there too...Larry is unbeatable. haha Leroy is coming around too though. Susie and Cheryl don't stand a chance.
3:22 "my allotment" get's me every time
"You know what, I heard enough. Come on, Johnny. Let's go eat."
I wish I could use that leaving an argument while Jon Hamm accompany me.
What a callback the the ajar door
And the allotment😂
What could be better than one Larry David? Two!! This whole episode was a genuine comedy classic. Jon Hamm was absolutely brilliant and hilarious.
Hes a great comedic actor, he can do anything.
John becoming Larry is the greatest thing i’ve ever seen.
What about Larry becoming the hamm?
“Are we talking about ‘The Crown’ now?”
Who wouldn't love to say "WTF is Jon Hamm doing here?" Lol.
2:48 lmao both his delivery and Richard's meek little "well..." in response
"so you think you're prince philip?"
"...yea"
This is legendary😁 Jon Hamm’s face when he watches Larry squeezing the lime and every other detail😅 This episode is pretty pretty good😁
"It's actually not funny, John Hamm" lol
Jon Hamm being Larry David would be an Oscar winner for sure
0:50 Jon's acting is so natural !
Jon Hamm’s Character arc as he slowly turns into Larry David is pure comedic genius
Hamm did an excellent job here. He is so fantastic and you could tell he was honored to be a part of this.
I honestly nearly died twice whilst trying to eat during this video. so so so funny. brilliant ep

Jon absolutely nailed that role and enjoyed every second of it 👏😀
Jon was having too much fun, easily my fav episode this season
It's something about the way Larry delivers the "You crossed the line" that cracks me up every time.
Especially going over the appetizer allotment! 😂
Richard Lewis aged liked a banana in the sun during this show while Larry David has been a 70 year old man since the 90's.
Larry: in the middle of a big fight cause he slept with his ex wife's sister
Also Larry: New sneaks? love 'em
He is so good at being Larry lol his reaction to Larry asking about his new sneakers is gold.
The door was ajar. Perfect line.
"It doesn't matter if their hands are clean , the Rhine' s dirty "
And another amazing callback the the caviar allotment.... this is like Christmas morning
I thought of that immediately when I saw the title of this episode. It's similar to that episode's title.
Fuck yeah Christian Slater
I love how he summons Jon Hamm to go eat like he's his dog.
Lewis, Hamm, and Larry at the appetizer split reaction is spot on.
RIP Richard Lewis. Love the Jon Hamm shadowing Larry episodes...
Honestly, a huge step in the becoming Larry David process is Susie insulting you.

"The door was ajar."
I love that reference.
"go be him awshoole" so goooood!
Seriously- this dinner scene is one of the best ever.
“I went over the line you already crossed “
Dj Rox yep. Cheryl has no right to say a word! He lost the first battle but Larry wins the war by shagging Becky
“My allotment!?” 😂 😂 😂
Definitely the best cameo and one of my favorite episodes ever.
I really hope Richard Lewis has been living his best life. He's such a talented man now matter how close age has crept up on him.
Appetizer Allotment, omg, that line killed me. I have to use that in the future for a few people I know
Jon Hamm was simply incredible. I love that look of Larry-like judgement at 0:48
I think Mad Men is one of the greatest dramas of all time. But Jon Hamm is hysterical. Not many actors have that range to do real drama and REAL comedy. I’m thinking only of Jason Bateman as the only other young actor who can pull off both so well (Ozark and Arrested Development are both brilliant)
Jon Hamm and Jason Bateman are both in their 50s. neither of them really qualify as a “young actor”.
@@Zack29810 well they’ve both aged prettay, prettay, prettay good
