K State's screw up is Illinois' treasure. I know Underwood has been questioned at times and until this season was having troubles getting past the first weekend of the tournament but man, has he turned around the Illinois program from the pile of hot garbage that it was during the John Groce era. We're lucky to have him in Champaign. This was a good interview though. I enjoyed listening to Underwood even if it was non Illinois related.

You could go back to his time as a player and he was as tough and smart as he is as a coach. He was point guard in Juco playing in the Championship game & It was SRO. He & Walter Berry turned the Sports Arena into a pressure cooker.
