This is truth. Even if women want to work, the in-laws a lot of time want her to do everything that a housewife does - and go out and earn money. Most working married women are tired. They get up at 4-5, make breakfast, lunch and prep dinner, give tea to husband and in-laws, manage maid/s, reach office, work office jobs, go home to cook dinner, wash dishes, manage 100% of emotional labour, and praise the husband if he makes one cup of tea to "help" etc. Weekends/holidays are worse as since its a "holiday" the family would demand lots of food and need to do general cleaning....and for the women who have kids...I don't know how they manage to remain sane...even a robot would breakdown with the kind of work that they do. Familys are not supporting working women in major homes and covid made it even more difficult with families wanting big meals and mid day teas.

A college level professor can easily teach those subjects in primary school, but the primary school teacher will never be able to teach the complex subjects taught by the college lecturer. So no! Women are ready to fight with husbands on majority of petty things, but when it comes to their job/career they do nothing because they also find it easy. I am also a working woman and do some of the household works along with husband's help. We both work as per the time we get. Rest of the work we outsource. You get support only when you ask for. The conflict does not stop at male/female, working/not working, married/unmarried...it's deeper than that. The amount of work that goes into managing the house and raising the kids is not easy and it never gets easier, even after years of practice as kids keep growing and needing you in a different way as they grow. I'm sure if a husband has played this role...it's equally difficult. Also there is a traditional custom of moving to in-laws home which is different from your own and re-learning to adapt. Taking everything into account the safety factor inside as well as outside the house. If the husband earns..the wife is in the supporting role...but the salary may/may not reach her.

Sorry but this happens only in India because outside India scenario is so different as women are working in all fields even driving city buses, ambulances, taxis and much more so it depends on society and culture how they treat gender differences. When this will change and all women start working or doing business whatever to make them financially independent India will be super power. As we have lots of manpower just wasted.
I think sir you can do revolution by making some videos for them who are just sitting at home and doing nothing because they think their time is gone.
I am studying CA and found one lady age 55 doing phd as she did not complete while she was younger and had family responsibilities she encouraged me to complete my studies even with family responsibilities and working full time so we are the only one who limit our possibilities.

All the words are so close to working woman's life. The unemployed lady members are the one who criticize them pointing their less care on children, home cleaning and managing. We working women are left in hands of in laws by our own parents and in laws get the whole authority to manipulate, brain wash the newly wed working girl and often make her realize her duties regarding family. We women get suppressed from both side. Eventually we donot perform well in both field and live a miserable life. These things no one discuss, even we hesitate to tell our painful condition to others for the sake of family pride.

I was forced to b doctor n i always feel out of place. At workplace i see bihari types antiwomen men. Most men where their women r not treated well ,devalue women.

Its sad that at the end you highlighted how men are suffering cause they are working and women should continue with their career too even after they are married, running their house while they work, managing kids and their life and career all while they work. I think the actual message is that men inspite of working should help in the house and women should do the same too, cause in a working women house, men are definitely not the ones suffering all the time. Yes women do get comfortable in the household chores, but a working women does way more than that and if u actually want to push a women to work, you need to push men too to help in the household chores.

You mentioned correctly work environment is not that women friendly. I was very mentally disturb at work and at home also after my marriage , as my in laws were not supportive. And at my parents place i was very pampered and my parents supported me always. After marriage working and life at home was tough.

Agree as a HR i know back side relatives, Females are judged they are at 25-26 yrs so will get married soon, 27-33yrs old do you have child if no then won't hire them so no need to pay maternity leaves of 6 months.
Even females gets lesser salaries than men as assumed men has more responsibility.
Sometimes manager prefer to keep one female in team of males so they will be entertained and males feels motivated at workplace. I heard managers tell females you don't have that lady charm, put up some makeup don't be rough tough lady.
I feel very sad for ladies, but we are behind such things cause we always look for comforts, even new concepts Menstrual leaves so management reduces number of ladies as they can't scold females like they can put pressure on males for sales, productivity.

Like in you case..if you husband taking transfer..why u need to change place with him..initially it is fine..but later let's hold your place.if u get a good opportunity in city a, no need to move to city b with husband..just do your job

Even today career of girls is seen as a ladder to get a good match...no matter after marriage she will be compelled to leave her job or asked to give her full salary at home because she goes out to do work.... No matter how much we become progressive or laws for women has been made, women at home is still opressed because patriarchy is rooted in the blood of this society!!!
