In the end of the vid I didn't really get enough time to sit with my feelings about the deck; (How dare Husband arrive at his own house unannounced) and when I first open and get to know a deck like this I usually always come at it with an 'Intellectual' lens trying to decipher it right away, deconstruct it, take it down to it's intentions and discover the essence of the deck that way. I want to say that after sitting with the it for a good while after just opening it, I'm REALLY liking it as a tarot. I think the artwork is perfectly moody, the figures are unique, emotive and dynamic and it really does stay true to the style of tarot that I love. There are also LOADS of little visual nods to Greek myths as well as the symbols of the tarot woven together seamlessly. It's definitely not a 'strictly Circe' and adjacent Myth themed deck as I originally suspected but I appreciate the lens of the Odyssey and Iliad that it encapsulates. Certain gods you might expect to see in an average Mythology Deck aren't present (Aphrodite, Apollo, Poseidon, Athena, Ares ((although some are mentioned in the book although not directly depicted)) ) but that's in favor of other interesting mythological figures, kings and queens that often are overlooked. I really like this about the deck. There's so much to learn and I am confident the creation of the deck comes from a place of passion and knowledge of both Greek Myth and Tarot. This makes me very happy. The big question, am I going to pair it with The Hellenic Oracle?....Only time will tell.....(But probably not because I don't like overlap and the vibe is very different...but it's a chaotic world...anything can happen!) Thanks so much for being here, please shoot me a comment with any questions you may have about it, am happy to answer when I can.
    xx

Your excitement, especially at the beginning of the video, is palpable and contagious! For me, as someone who is just beginning to learn about Greek mythology, I might get this deck simply to add another layer to my studies (your oracle deck is my main source of study).
Thanks for sharing...I always learn sooo much from your deck walk-throughs.

Thanks so much for this walkthrough. Really glad that you went through and read who was pictured in the cards. That's kind of what I'd been wanting to know before purchasing this deck.

I didn't know I was waiting for this video! I've been interested in this one for months but, a bit like you I think, I worried it might just be shoving Greek myth into the tarot. But a glance at the book and half of the major arcana has me putting it back onto my wishlist 😂

So now that you have had this Tarot deck for 5 months, how have you enjoyed working with it? I'm looking for a status update.

Thoroughly enjoyed and appreciate you sharing your first dive into this deck. I’m going to place the cost of this deck into a bank app wallet called ‘Thea’s Tarot’ 😝

I was the opposite and had set my expectations really low during the preorder and then when Christa showed me was pleasantly surprised and am really enjoying it. Loved seeing your take on it! Thanks for sharing. I feel like you're going to end up really liking it a lot. Not to pleased about Hestia being the 7 of Swords either for the record 🤨😂

you're right on the nose! So far I've found that it's been really great, I've been pulling two card readings most days and it is going above and beyond each time. I'm also deeply enjoying the design and style of the images, it's a super fun time! xx

As a decades long student of numerology and tarot, maybe I can help. It's not Hestia who is wronged here but the poor, misunderstood 7 of Swords. Seven is the number of planning, appraisal, and mainly inner work. So paired with Hestia, goddess of the hearth and sacrificial fire, home and hearth could very well indicate the self and that *inner* fire. I think the deck creator understood this number.
Also, according to Colman Smith's notes on this card, she drew it based on the play Henry V. This scene depicts Henry's armorer the night before the battle. He's neither stealing nor betraying, but rather preparing! All the best, Donna

I really wanted to love this too. I like the backs! And there are some beautiful cards in there. It's too RW clone for me and a little cartoony sparse on other cards. Cool book. Rats I really had hopes!

I loved the walk through 😃 I think they missed a trick with these cards , they could have used many more of Circe and also lots of other gods more powerful than those I think I’m disappointed 😢 was hoping they would have been more famous like Medusa and Helen or hector , never mind x ❤

i loved almost every card on this but was v disappointed with the king of pentacles, which is my most relevant card. i hate it when decks makes him a upgraded version of the 4 of pentacles
    but definitely a beautiful deck

So this is the Iliad Tarot. I love the art so if I get it I'll just toss the book and make a bag for it. 🤷🏼‍♂️
